The usual doom and gloom merchants are out again.
We are probably not good enough to win the CL, but who thought we were?
Bring on Barcelona or Bayern, big games, big atmosphere.
Some of the comments are classic on here.

I'd rather be Marseille - err in the Europa league - really I mean REALLY?
Wenger is a dinosaur - who is manager of a team 5 points clear at the top of the table!

If you lot can't see the performances (in general) have been better than last year, you obviously don't go much.

There is the same crowd of 10 people on here that disappear when the good results come in, but are first on when the shit hits the fan.

Get a grip and get some balance, otherwise you will lose the more even minded fans from this site that haven't left already. But maybe that is what you prefer - if so good luck!

I support Wenger but I'm very angry about tonight. We didn't have a gameplan and literally done nothing all game. It's incomprehensible that Walcott played no part, we knew that as the game went on they would have to go for it more and at 60 mins he should have been on. I also don't see what the point of playing Ozil was, we had the same back 4 and 2 defensive midfielders so we could afford to rotate in the advanced positions. Absolutely ridiculous and now we will go out in the next round, makes it even more depressing when you see how bad the teams that finished 2nd in the rest of the groups are, we would've had an easy pass to the quarter finals and from there anything can happen.

Well having just read the posts below one could be confused for thinking santa had just crashed his sled not that we actually qualified for the second round.

I seriously wonder why a lot of posters bother supporting the club when they can't ever ever ever find a positive.

BTW I thought Kos was outstanding.

You bastards, if we'd finished top our annual trip to Olympiakos could still have been a possibility!
Not really. This team has a real backbone.

Very well put! I too find it hard to fathom why so many negatives when our team is into the next round, leading the league by 5 and have Spurs in the cup to come. I wonder what exactly the moaners were expecting from the team if this isn't good enough.

Question 1. If you go 1 down in a game that you cant afford to lose (if you want to top the group), why would you take off an attacking midfielder (rosicky) and bring in a left back (monreal) ? :? Forget about whether it should have been wally/Rambo or whoever cos the bigger picture was that he went defensive after we went behind

Question 2. Why after going behind would you allow the stupid prick in goals to start walking the ball out to the back corner of the penalty area in a bid to waste time ?? Was the stupid c*nt even aware that we were losing ? He didn't just do it once either and it had me screaming at the telly to get the ball forward   :cussing: :cussing:

Question 3. When will the cic realise that our team set up is not and never will be strong enough to carry both ozil and cazorla ? These two players are technically outstanding but both do the same job and by picking both it neglects another area of the team that needs strengthening

Observation 1. Flamoney has the first touch of a rapist - we all know that his game is about energy and unsettling opponents but I never realised until tonight how fcuking awful he is with the ball at his feet

because we should of had an easy draw, instead we're probably going out. which in itself is not the biggest calamity, but when you've seen it happen what, 4-5 years on the trot, it kind of crushes you.

and because what ever slim hope we do have, will clatter our FA Cup hopes again. which in itself is not the biggest calamity, but when you've seen it happen what, 4-5 years on the trot, it kind of crushes you.

it sucks.

It seems to me that Wenger wasn't bothered about winning the group, just getting out of it.

milesgooner. with you all the way.Hope we win fuck all again this year just to make sure it keeps this positive and happy crew feeling justified and content in the bile they spew. God only knows what they would write if tonight we found ourselves in the thursday cup and less than 5 points clear at top of table. Beggars f-ckin believe.

Because life, not just in football, is about taking the chances when they come along cos they are not gonna come around every 5 minutes - we had a glorious chance to finish top of the group and we blew it. We had a glorious chance of being 7pts clear at the top of the table last sunday and blew it. People like you (and I mean no disrespect) can come on here and be satisfied what your lot but don't you think that you should want more and expect more when it is on a plate there for you ?

Knowing our luck we would probably have drawn Galatasaray and got done in by Drogba.
