Toffees (A) - Top 4 Trophy, Six Pointer Match Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Thing is; Everton aren't even playing that well. They are definitely vulnerable if you attack them with pace and with numbers. When you've got a donkey up front on his own who isn't really being backed up by anyone else, you're not going to create chances.

The funny thing is if we finish 5th and win the cup I will be happier with this season than any other in the past decade.
I am very meh with this game today. The players seem to be too.

The problem I have here isn't necessarily the performance, but it's the fact that Wenger has absolutely no answer for it. It's clear that a change needs to be changed in terms of our approach and probably also the 11 that are on the pitch. Problem is, Wenger hasn't a clue how to affect the game.

Fifteen or so years ago, Wenger had a fresh, modern take on the game. Now he's getting left way behind. It's all well and good opting for stability in your management, but if you've got someone in charge who doesn't evolve with the times, you're shooting yourself in the foot.
Tactical planning, my good man.

Alas, anathema to Mr Wenger.

This is Anfield, the Ethiad, and Stamford bridge repeated, except Everton don't have as good of players to be out of sight at this stage.

So you're saying we conceded from our own free kick in the middle of the pitch and it was the refs fault for not booking the player?
No what I said was that If the ref had booked him which he should have then that passage of play would never had happened, not hard to understand is it really
Nope, still not with you I'm afraid. Could Lukaka dribbling through half our midfield and defence also been stopped by the ref?
Jog on fella I ain't got time to teach a cheese plant tricks :|

To hear Flamini is out of the cup semi is worse than being 2-0 down.
I am starting to get concerned by that game.

This is a fucking disgrace. Since when did we become a team that was incapable of creating chances? We're just passing the ball around until eventually we get frustrated enough for one of our full-backs (who are both shit crosses) to tump a ball into the box hoping that it somehow reaches the one player in there and that if so he doesn't fluff his lines as usual.

Meanwhile Everton are happy to get men back behind the ball, let us commit everyone (including both full-backs forward) and then stream forward if they nick it off us. We could get knocked for 5 again today, easily.

We're getting the ball in space, but we're holding up play instead of pushing forward and running the same predictable plays when near the box.

Despite who's left in it, anyone who thinks this shower of shit managed by inspector dickhead is going to win the FA Cup is fucking deluded. Le Loser will fuck it up just you watch.
