Southampton away

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He is one big liability and doesn't fill our defenders full of hope.

I don't think he will ever be a top class 'keeper.
It is no coincidence that we won the FA cup with Fabianski in goal
I have seen enough of this clown throwing goals away to know this is simply horseshit. Szczesny may be shit, but to suggest Fabianski is better is bollocks.
Fabianski was shite and played a big part in costing us on more than one occasion too.

Neither Szczesny or Fabainski are/were good enough to play for Arsenal.
Agreed.

We have been criminally undermanned in goal since Seaman, who himself went on for too long. Lehmann was an OK stop gap, but Almunia, Flappy & Chez are rank awful stoppers for a club of our stature.

Football365.com posted this below, yesterday:

"
Arsenal
"When you start the season you always want to win the championship," said Wojciech Szczesny after the victory over West Ham. "That is the only thought in our heads. Of course we want to catch up on Chelsea and Manchester City. But for now we have to climb up the table and see if we can put pressure on them."
Oh Wojciech, when will you ever learn the Arsenal way? The words 'pride before a fall' might as well be written across the wall in the home dressing room at the Emirates, such is the club's uncanny ability to preach rehabilitation before immediately kicking themselves in the face.
Arsenal have enjoyed a good run of late, winning four games and drawing at Anfield. Now come three away games in five weeks to decide just how far they have really progressed. Before trips to Manchester City and Spurs comes the match on New Year's Day at St Mary's, Southampton themselves realigned after veering off course in November.
Should Arsenal leave St Mary's with three points, they will once again be back in the comforting warmth of fourth place. Lose and it will be yet another notch on the bedpost of faux redemption. Your guess is as good as mine."

He's not used to being on a proper pitch mate - so he's a leetle bit overawed by it all.

We are ravaged by injuries lets not forget that- today was a game too far with a squad that wasn't equipped to go into a season, we all know what we need.

Il let the people that only appear when we lose crack on now - I think we all agree what we need and who is to blame but if you take today's game In isolation injuries have cost us massively.

Of the course the problem is, there is no desire, nobody who hates to lose - that worries more than this defeat.

WENGER OUT.
