Re: FA Cup QF Draw
Quite ironic it's in the section "FA People's Cup" when they clearly don't give a toss about the people that actually go to matches

Fuck....I forgot my stalker was still around. Changed my mind....I'm not going now. what I am pissed off about is that there is a completely blank weekend of top level football that weekend. normally 6th round weekend they schedule a round of PL games and then those involved in the FA Cup play at a different time - this year there is nothing. 3pm on a Saturday RIP
The PFL will not give a toss - they have an extra 5.1 billion to enjoy.
welcome to the modern game that used to be "Football" - and is now a hugely successful financial juggernaut driven by Cun.ts

Ikechuckwu normally does a sound job of my editing, but you're definitely a contender Bard !
Ike - anything to add? Our mate Robin_L clearly sees himself as the new HighburyJD superfan. Who knows he may be one of those RedAction types you've got so much time for

The holier than thou bullshit dished out to foreign fans who save and spend 2x-3x the cost of a season ticket to attend a few matches is infuriating and disrespectful.SteveO 35 wrote:Ikechuckwu normally does a sound job of my editing, but you're definitely a contender Bard !![]()

I understand there are a lot of cringeworthy habits of foreign supporters (lack of knowledge, addiction to club shop, weird etiquette at matches, selfie sticks, etc.) but think how you might act if you went to a Dallas Cowboys game for your only holiday of the year.
This is unlikely to make me many friends but it's something I've been meaning to post for awhile.

That's the exact reaction I get from many people in the states when I tell them about my trips, the next one of which starts tomorrow.arseofacrow wrote:I'd go fucking crazy mate, cos somebodys booked my only holiday of the year to go and watch an Amercian football game. Let the superfans have their day - I first went to watch Arsenal in the late 70s and have Arsenal friends all over the world - some of whom in the States have never actually been to a game.....but they get up at silly o clock to watch us in action when we have a lunchtime kick off and know as much about the team as the next man.gp543 wrote:The holier than thou bullshit dished out to foreign fans who save and spend 2x-3x the cost of a season ticket to attend a few matches is infuriating and disrespectful.SteveO 35 wrote:Ikechuckwu normally does a sound job of my editing, but you're definitely a contender Bard !![]()

I'm guessing 'the L Man' has started drinking shandy and travelling to away games without his dad in the past year or so, so is now in a position to lecture us all - from people that have been home and away for 20 years but now make a choice not to, through it to people that save all year for 1 match and travel halfway round the world.
If only we all contributed as much as Robin eh? Must doff our caps next time he's in town

Few people suggesting the Newcastle Away game would be postponed if this was to be a draw

Awful stuff from the jacket-wearing clique. Seemed to be chuffed that most supporters can't make the match.
