Newcastle are going to appeal the red card yesterday :?

What a waste of everyone's time. Surely it should be met with an extended ban for such a frivolous appeal of a clear red card?

The funniest bit on bt sport was when one one of the 3 pundits said it showed Arsenal's adaptability when the front 3 can switch positions.
No, actually it showed not one of those 3, Ox, Wally, & Sanchez were comfortable playing as centre forward.
Wally performed exactly as I expected him to, like a little boy lost.
Ffs, even the lethargic Charlie Austin would be a better option

Agreed - there wasn't a single one of those cards that they can legitimately complain about. The one decision Marriner fucked up was the penalty that should have been awarded to us - surely one of the most stonewall penalties not to have been awarded for us in recent years

The Mitrovic 'tackle' actually looks worse with every viewing and Sissoko was lucky to stay on too I reckon. As for the pen; I don't understand how it wasn't given.

Ramsey man of the match??? WTF?

Robbie Savage is a moron. "Eeh he made a couple good runs in behind!!". Well done Savage you bellend.

Never mind that Rambo fucked up his touch nearly every single time. Ramsey was pants. His passing again was either underhit or overhit. He lost possession cheaply countless times by delaying on the ball, trying to be too clever and trying flicks and tricks - again. The only thing he did right all day was the deft flick to put Giroud through (who fucking squandered the chance) at the end. So that's 1 out of 20 attempts then, Rambo. Brilliant.

Not sure who said it above that we are playing the system to suit Giroud but you are bang wrong. Giroud is too slow and immobile to play as a lone striker. He should be playing as a second striker in a 4-4-2. Even then, he'd only give you 14 or 15 PL goals a season at best. He's average. Walcott is the same. Average. Neither should be getting paid 140-150K a week.

Someone else said Coq is starting to remind them of Alex Mong? Have to agree I'm starting to get the same impression. The bit of praise seems to have gone to his head and he is now trying Hollywood tackles and Hollywood passes in every game. In general though yesterday he was ok, but I can see his game slipping over the coming weeks and months, like Mong's did. :|

Toon got what they deserved - nothing. And the red was a red all day. Over the ball, studs showing, into midshin? That's not "tough" or "hard" tackling, that's the work of a thug cúnt.

Good post spot on mate......tough tackling is one thing trying to finish someones career with a broken leg is another.......They were like maniacs.....should have sent 2 off, and defiant penalty, arsenal players done really well to not get drawn in as the crowd were baying for one of ours to be sent off.

Biggest joke of the day was when that big piece of shit at the back for Newcastle ignored the ball and totally body checked Sanchez
Then amazing started appealing as if he had done nothing, don't he know the rules of the game, that was diabolical......

As was mentioned in Hayley Wright's excellent blog, with all that bitching over the cards, the geordies must have thought the game was being played under prison rules.

Plenty of gooners travelling on either expensive trains or arse numbing coach journeys, with complimentary cram in all limbs.

10 players at the end of the game gave half hearted claps from the half way line.

Only AOC actually came anywhere near us to thank us.

Am I expecting too much from them or am I right in thinking they are out of order.

Incidentally, last weekend I attended Preston v ipswich with an ipswich mate of mine and the ipswich players spent ages at the away end at the end of the game?
Your thinking is right. This is unsurprising in modern football though, which is the real damning thing.

Who is Hayley Wright, and what does this mean?

If Coquelins boot was planted firmly in the ground when that Serb assaulted him that leg would have broken

Another prediction correct. Come on lads, we're Groundhog FC - can't be that hard to see what's coming

Ramsey man of the match - welsh love-in. Otherwise, I can't fathom it.

Coquelin was ok but as in a few other games he's in danger of losing his defensive discipline - which we've seen before.

three points and an overall good weekend for football in general

Interesting hearing Wrighty (Who is fast becoming one of the best pundits around, great on MOTD2 2w ago too) on 5live, he was there and said he thought credit to Mariner in that the Toon fans were unbelievably hostile, yet he reffed really well throughout the game.

Its time that 4th had videolink access, showing the assault on Coc on TV though doesnt seem to have amended the swell of delusion on the Tyne.

Time for both Toon and Orcs to sample relegation I hope,

You're spot on mate. All the players should've done what The Ox did right after the game.

Hayley Wright is the grand daughter of Billy Wright, I presume you know who he is.
She does a video blog after every game.
The point was the Newcastle fans were getting hysterical every time a card was shown, red or yellow.
How can they seriously argue against them unless they thought the game was 'prison rules', a free-for-all.
