I don't suppose Vardy is good enough for us, not better than anyone we've got...

Well, I know they wouldn't have had 2g in the middle age, but ...

Back in our rightful 4th place, on the verge of another limp dick CL exit, 200m in the bank earning 0.5% interest, an entire first XI of injured players, reverting to sideways slow paced tip tap, the worst owner in the Premier League, out of one of the 2 cups we can win and looking forward to the start of the FA Cup already.

The only variety I hope for this season is that come Tuesday night we will be confirmed in the Europa League because the tedium of the past decade is set to continue a little while longer yet

Has the word 'accident' been used yet? Or were we 'little bit jaded' after the international break? Or was the ref to blame because of the decision to give the free kick for the first goal?

Bollocks !!!. We take what we missed & things could have been rosy. Without replacing Le Coq in midfield we may struggle to secure our 4th place. Never mind Wally will be fit again soon to save us. :barscarf: :barscarf:

to watch this game while on my treadmill and to see Arteta come on (whose legs are gone, good servant to the club but past his prime) and be replaced by Flamini on his second stint with the Arsenal who previously sat the pine for 5 years at a flailing AC Milan is so LAUGHABLE. Or should I cry. I just don't know.

is this why we built the Grove???

and that's our holding midfielder option?

it's been years that people are saying to buy a holding midfielder and it's Arteta and Flamini for a young Coq?

f&^%#$g CRIMINAL!!! :banghead:

I can't believe the majority of Arsenal fans accept this

Wait till the Summer......no doubt the brain washed masses will tell us that the move to the Bowl was actually a 20 year plan and that we're all a bunch of ungrateful rotters

And how for the umpteenth season in a row Arsene will learn from his mistake in the past transfer window and it'll be different next year.

this season has been a blueprint for every other seasons since 2006-07. the only thing can save us is the FA Cup. I don't see us winning it three in a row unfortunately

some fans will blame injuries, but we had more than enough to get the win or even a draw yesterday. despite scoring, giroud was absolutely ineffective as per, totally out of position 9 times out of ten and when he wasn't his trademark move of holding the ball up with his back to goal, then falling down and asking for a pen was totally pointless and wan't good enough. he is so symbolic of this current arsenal team, no bollocks and not strong enough to stand up to the challenge.

i lost count the number of times monreal or bellerin would cross it into the box and giroud was nowhere to be seen, what is amazing is that games like today are his bread and butter where he needs to score a couple to make up for his usually inept performances against the top tier sides in the league, but even by his usual standards he was crap yesterday.

as for campbell, I see similaries with sanogo.

christ, giroud, campbell and sanogo. 3 absolute shit strikers at a top european club. and wenger says he won't spend "for the sake of it"

crazy times we live in

edit: oh and as for mertesacker, the bloke in becoming such a fucking pathetic figure. he fucking never won a header yesterday, he was actually outjumped by that little shit mclean at one point
has wenger actually built a decent defence in his whole time here? apart from the GG defence he inherited, the closest he got was the 2007-08 defence, with toure and gallas

I think we need to wake up and realise at the end of the day we have 3 decent players. (Sanchez, Ozil and Cech) And the three i mention their clubs were prepared to let them go, so that probably says it all about them as well.

The rest of the squad are either injured all time, pass their best, or just pissed poor players.

I am not surprised anymore when we get beat. It's sadly comical. I agree get rid of Wenger but the new bloke would have to re-build this squad from scratch.

Can you see how Klopp has rejuvenated the same bunch of players who couldn't do it for Rodgers?
its amazing what fresh ideas and a system players like can do for a club.
We have a decent enough squad that needs a few upgrades, the problem is getting the best out of them. Apart from RVP Wenger has looked incapable of that for the past 5 years.
I watched the post match interview on motd, always a good insight when Wenger has to explain away a defeat.
Why does feel the need to keep flashing a sly grin when a reporter asks him some pertinent questions? its almost as if he feels its beneath him to explain the defeat to a 'non football person'.
The gem was when Campbell's miss was brought up, AW said 'he seemed surprised'. Surprised? he is playing in an offensive position in a game of football, and he is surprised when the ball arrives at his feet, what was he expecting?
In the recent past Wenger has said he sacrificed his managerial career to build up the club, maybe the first 8 years, since then he has sacrificed the club to build up his pension.

At a club with ambition (higher than a top4 finish) this news would mean going after and signing a top class Dm in the January window. At le bumholes Arsenal however this wont be the case,we can expect months of flamini shouting pointing, making fuck ups galore and getting pulled out of position all over the place
