What a terrible evening.

It's like it was a bad dream but alas, it isn't.

They were everything we should be as title challengers, pacey up front, shooting from outside the area, clinical on the counter attack, strong in defence, dominant on set pieces, first to every second ball, not resting at 2-0, putting a man marker on ozil...Wenger has to leave one day, and I just can't wait

Don't worry lads, I'm old enough to remember a team in red and white stripes hammering us 5-0 in 1970 and we still went on to do the Double so...........cheer up!!!

Thats the 3rd time this season we've bottled a chance to lay down a marker and go top. And wenger comes out afterwards and smirks.
I remember him being interviewed after the 8-2 he did the same. Shrugged his shoulders, smirked and dismissed it as a fukkn accident. :(

I don't even get angry anymore. The only saving grace was this year I didn't go.

Safe trip home to those who went - it's a shitty one with the lack of trains etc.

Pointed out to my dad that we have become sanitised to this. Conceding 4 goals to a mid table side who are on awful form is a travesty.

For al this mental strength bollocks we gave up and could have conceded 6 or 7 in the end. zero pride. Fair play to Cech for fronting up at the end to the fans (despite having a poor game himself) - bloke hAs been nothing less than an absolute pro.

Same teams we struggle at every year - Stoke, Southampton, Chelsea, Spurs. People used to complain that we couldn't cope with being kicked but both Swansea and Saints have regularly played us off the park. They targeted Mertesacker (fucking useless coward) and sat deep and as always there they negated our threat. We could have played until kick off of the Bournemouth game and we wouldn't have scored.

Notwithstanding the above the refereeing was a disgrace. Second goal was a foul and Long should have been sent off forms deliberate trip (just as a deliberate handball in same manner of cheating would be). Ref was scared to blow him whistle after missing that. Epitome of modern PL ref - just not fit to referee.

Am I the only one worried about spurs creeping up behind us? Only 4pts behind us now and, painful though it is to admit, they've been playing well in recent months....

I guess we were a bit shit then ?

Only seen highlights on motd tonight and I was shocked that we were as bad as that - yes we have all said before that this squad and manager don't have the balls/guts/passion needed to win a league, but that was an absolute meltdown tonight (if motd highlights were an accurate reflection of game). It didn't seem as if ANY Arsenal player did well, but the bbc pundits were critical of the midfield who gave the defence zero protection. Ironic really seeing as the man tasked with providing that protection was being lauded all over the place earlier this week - I guess that blows his unbeaten record out of the water anyway

Personally I never thought that the outcome of either this game or the citeeh game would be the difference between winning the league or not - our hopes and dreams depend on whether le cock buys in quality players in the next 5 weeks or not - if he either refuses to buy or just buys good (but not great) players, then we can consign our hopes and dreams to the bin for another few years

Shit....I thought I had you busted with the flamoney record gone

It did indeed look the bfg got torn a new one and tbh I am surprised that it doesn't happen more often - his lack of pace is legendary so you would think that opposition teams would target him more, but his ability to read the game has prevented him getting destroyed more often.

Have to say though, that kos and monreal looked fcuk all better - the way they were opened up for the 4th goal was absolutely schoolboy like defending, and kos's "effort" at challenging lovern for his headed goal, was embarrassing
Cech looked woeful yoo - the 4th goal also didn't reflect well on him, but it was the goal from their corner which concerned me more - he does seem to have a weakness when coming for set piece deliveries, and if so that should be a lot more serious than letting in one piss poor goal through his legs
