The Giroud Question

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Why can't you compare him with Morata? Put their achievements and records in context by all means, but why can't we compare our current option with a potential alternative?

When we first signed Giroud everybody was tripping over themselves to insist hay we couldn't compare him with van Persie which was complete nonsense given that he was a direct replacement.

Morata is not what we need right now. We need a proven PL striker that can hit minimum 20+ PL goals a season. Morata would be another signing for "potential". Nothing wrong with that in and of itself, but not if it's to the detriment of signing a proven striker this summer.

Exactly we need a goalscorer someone to convert all those chances.......another Ian Wright would do nicely :D

But knowing Wenger he will go out and buy another small french midfielder :banghead:

The Giroud question? There is no question. He will be our first choice striker next season. And yes he will play up front in our shit 4-5-1. And yes he will score between 10 and 15 PL goals. And yes we will not win the PL. And yes many supposed Arsenal fans will cheer on their lord and master Arsene Wenger right up until our club implodes in a cloud of moribund shit. That is all. :censored:

How many references to Henry's handball will we have to listen to until Sunday :banghead: I obviously support my country, but the reaction to that handball has been nothing short of pathetic.

Christ yeah. Every second moron in my office is shiting out of them about "revenge for Henry's handball".

Get. The. Fuck. Over. It.

I'll never forget or forgive John Delaney and the FAI for their embarrassing as fuck pleas to FIFA to let us in as an "extra" team because we are sooooooooooooooooo nice.   Fucking arseholes. :x
