Couldn't agree more - people spouting about the possibility of them being on some type of drugs should really get over themselves  They may well be on some form of enhancer, but there isn't a drug out there that is good enough to propel a team of average joe's to the league title - the fact is that they worked their bollox off all season and they had a never say die attitude, and that allied to the superior class and quality of a few players (mahrez, vardy and kante) makes them a very deserving champions 8)

I watched the entire presentation. I felt genuinely happy for them. It's a remarkable achievement.

I only wish we had a tenth of their bottle, passion and graft. We'd have pissed this league, and a few other seasons too.

Unless it's Arsenal winning the league I could not give a flying fuck what other team wins it, especially a club like Leicester with a racist chav as their top scorer and their shite bandwagon fans. They'll be back to the bottom half of the table next season.

It's one thing to give credit for their achievement but all this gushing praise is fucking nauseating. The only thing that will make me projectile vomit on this colossal fuck up of a season would be if the dippers win the Europa League.

An extra 7,000 fans from the previous season though.... Look every clubs attendance will fluctuate with performance - but this portrait by some of Leicester as long-suffering fans is nonsense.

They aren't a big club and when they were knocking around at their level in the second tier for the last decade their ground was 25-40% empty. All of a sudden half of the city are huge football fans who don't have other plans on a Saturday. Can't say I blame them for enjoying this remarkable achievement but they could have sold out their stadium twice over this year - fact is that two-thirds of those fans had no interest in going for the previous decade so yes there is some jumping on the bandwagon.

Bandwagon jumping is an unfortunate price of success or perceived success, like we had here in Ireland during the "Charlton" years..
It must be galling for the Leicester fans that dropped down three divisions with their club after relegation in 2004 to see the JCLS professing a life long love for the club..I have no issue with the people of the City celebrating the titled and what it means to their city..even if they are not football fans. It's the idea of smug know -it-all super fans that I find hard to deal with.. Believe me it is an ongoing epidemic in Dublin and Ireland, Rugby, GAA, Football, Golf or Boxing or whatever is flavour of the month spawns new super fans and experts

Great scenes from the King Power yesterday, and fair play to them.

The only thing that slightly grated was seeing their owner hogging the trophy and making it all about him and his family. Fair enough, it was his money and investment that made it possible, but it should still be about the players. Even Abramovich seemed happier to stand in the shadows and let the players bask in the glory.

And that then made me worry... if (and that's a big 'if') we ever win the league under Kroenke's regime, would he really have the nerve to fly in and parade around the pitch with the trophy afterwards? It's standard practice in North American sports to present the trophy to the owner, so I'm sure he'd be up for it. The thought of it, though, considering how stand-offish he's been, is particularly sickening.

I doubt we'll have to worry about it anytime soon.

To be fair you could say the same about Arsenal. In the old stadium we used to get more than 50,000 maybe a few times a season, and even when Highbury was all seater many games in the 90s where nowhere near sold out. Success always attracts plastics, look at how many liverfool fans in the 80s that lived in London only to be replaced by the plastic mancs in the 90s/noughties.

I'm not sure 'plastics' and 'bandwagon' fans are necessarily the right terms here; 'fairweather fans' seems a little less harsh.

When Man Utd rose to prominence in the 1990s, they absolutely attracted plastics and bandwagoners (mostly from the South). But I don't get the sense that Leicester fans are popping up in Devon and Essex.

It just seems as if every club has a dedicated, hardcore fanbase that will attend rain or shine, regardless of performance - and I guess at Leicester, this stands at around 25K. But to call the other fans 'plastic' or 'bandwagoners' because they only attend several times a season seems a tad unfair.

I support my local club in the Ryman Prem, and have been attending for about 25 years now. If they're involved in promotion charges, naturally I'll be more inclined to fork out the dosh and get myself down there more regularly. To slander (strong term!) Leicester fans for turning up in higher numbers when they're about to win the league seems a little overly critical, to me, as it's the same at every club.

We Gooners (collectively or individually) may have a more than usual dislike of other fans - It's kinda natural - But as these figures prove - they were there in the bad/tough times - they have been there to enjoy the good times. :|

Of course fans would rather watch their team when they are playing well, with the hope of getting a win than watch them playing poorly with a good chance of getting beaten.

See our own empty seats (already bought and paid for !) as proof.

You make more effort with the expectation of getting something in return - excitement, entertainment, value for money all of which ebb away when the team are shite.

Clubs at the top of the championship will be having the same increase in attendance as they push for promotion / play offs its a natural reaction to teams playing well.

Would you expect them to not turn up Mr T ?
