As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I haven't attended a game since 2013 and the seasons since we moved into the bowl up to that point probably averaged 3-5 home games a season.
Highbury a different story even 12 years on it is what a modern football stadium is a tourist day out.
I stopped going because of the messing about of ko times and of course the direction off and on the field we have been going, plus now live abroad.
Well may be over to London for a long weekend the week we play Huddersfield at home hopefully it stays a 3pm Saturday match and I may call in to see Emery's progress first hand.
It may be an age thing as well as many 'old school' fans I speak to of other clubs really don't feel any different than we do,priced out and disillusioned with how football has gone.
I've been trying to get my head around a few things recently ,particularly regarding Gazidis leaving which still leaves me puzzled but maybe there's more reasons to him going than pure lucre ,
I have a theory nothing more so here goes .
So far Stan has paid about 1.1 billion for Arsenal football club and has taken precious little out of it ,the 3 million a year consulting was peanuts,
The Interest on the loans he took out to Buy the shares Dwarf that amount .
The reason for this is whilst Ushmanov was in for 30 percent he couldn't vote for a dividend because he would have had to pay Ushmanov 30 percent but now the he can do it with impunity .
There has been a number of reports too about Stan wanting to reduce the enormous wage bill which is rather large when compared to our current placings in the League .
Both Ramsey and Wellbeck are out of contract this year and from what I can gather Arsenal don't even have an offer on the table for either player .
Regardless of your feelings on either player we will have again screwed up any resale value on both but whilst I'm not a great fan of either ,I have grave misgivings that they will even be replaced .
If Kroenke wants to pay himself he will have to see how far he can squeeze the Wage Bill and these two are prime candidates for savings .
It would make sense to assume that Gazidis knows what Stans plans are and maybe he jumped ship rather than manage the shitstorm that will arise as the lack of investment in the team makes the club club drift further away from the Utopia of fourth place !
if this is the plan, why would he sanction the offer that Ozil got? does his wage not wipe out any saving made from shipping them two out.
But on your main point I agree, it only makes sense as an investment if he can sell for more than he paid, or that he take huge dividends soon, he is not in for the Glory that is for sure.

He only owned 56 percent when that deal was done my East London friend so as I said he couldn't get money out of the club in dividends without paying 30 pct to Ushmanov ,now he owns 90 percent and will take the club private he can drain the club out of any cash he wishes to, in order to pay himself and no-one can say boo. To generate some easy cash he just prunes the wage bill and lifts he money out along with the famous War Chest of cash money the club holds .
Similarly as sole Owner ,he could convert the personal loans he has taken out to buy the shares and simply land the cost onto the club like the glazers did with the MUFC buyout and bingo he frees up 1. billion to go into his Stadium venture in LA which he sorely needs right now !
He's still got a bargain because Arsenal Im sure are worth more than the $1.85 billion the club is said be worth based purely on the share price .
Now of course the share price isnt an accurate guide on price because the market for the shares isn't fluid like big companies and there aren't that many shares,62,217 in total and have been in the hands of very few people over the last few years and has been boosted but it's fair to say that if Liverpool are worth $2 billion we must be at least worth that !
He could even Buy Wembley and move us there and redevelope the Coporates Stadium into Real estate or a shopping mall ,he has expereince of both markets and of moving franchises !

His investment in Arsenal on paper is now worth almost 3 x times what he paid, He bought an English prem league club at just the right time to make a huge profit (Usmanov made 330 million on his 30%)and any cuts to the playing side of the club will not sit well with the large majority of our supporters and he will get fan unrest and social media backlash in bucket loads and not to many SKB's around to back him

He's still got a bargain because Arsenal Im sure are worth more than the $1.98 billion the club is said be worth based purely on the share price .

That is the worse case for me that he would "remortage" the club and then leave it with huge debts.
Indeed ,the future is bleak as the Owner is looking at the bottom line only ,even if he sells at 2 billion plus the only takers will be Chinese or Arabs so as customers we have never been so disconnected from the Club!
Herbet ,if you think that this owner gives a shit about "fan backlash" then you are sorely mistaken .
He moved the Rams out of his home state to LA because it made him money ,he bought a massive Ranch in Texans and Drove the tenants of their lifelong homes ,all of the sporting franchise's he owns in the USA have fans that despise him .
A few thousand disgruntled limeys won't bother him one Jot !

And they have guns
Hopefully he his making enough money to not upset the applecart
We used to have a decent cannon but now it looks like it fires balloons
Wiggy would probably ignore any protests as he did when he evicted all the tenants off his Texas ranch. The best way to get to a man like him is ridicule as vain men like him cannot stand it.Trump just ignore s protest s but gets really upset about jokes about his tiny hands. For Kronkee it is his hair that he is sensitive about, why else would he wear a wig.Arsenal fans should go for a Real Madrid white hankie protest but use wigs instead and throw them into the pitch. It would make the news and possibly the American media.I know it sounds like I am taking the piss but I really think taking the piss out of the wig wearing parasite would really be effective. He would hate having to go to his posh reception s knowing that his wig wearing was plastered all over the news.
How do we know this fella is not in with the club's publicity department like other bloggers have been in the past?
Let's blame it all on the previous regime, when the same Wiggy bastard that still controls the whole club allowed these corrupt practices to happen without doing fúck all?
He didn't know what was going on? Why doesn't he tell us this then?
Wenger, Gazidis & Kroenke, partners in crime! WIGGY OUT!
Always knew Arsene Wenger was fleecing the club & supporters for his own personal gain!
