People think it's almost laughable when I say it, but this team or on the brink of a huge mental collapse and the top 4 isn't happening. I'd even back Southampton to keep a clean sheet against us

There are no goals coming at all from anywhere. It's a slide down to 7th or 8th from here

The team worked their arse off tonight - fair play for maximum effort. I don't include Sterling or Shitchenko in that for another two hopeless cameos from the bench but the rest deserve gave it their all

In my opinion Steve O there was absolutely zero drive in rice at all - so many times he had the chance to drive forward with the ball, or make an overlapping run for a team-mate (especially in first half), but he just pulled the handbrake and gave his team-mates nothing
Trossard is fast becoming THE most cowardly pussy ever to wear our jersey - anytime anyone breathes on him he falls down looking for a free, and then he gives away stupid cheap free kicks when their full box is penned in near his own corner flag going nowhere

I think all 3 of those were markedly better than at the weekend, especially in the first 45 minutes. Sometimes I watched Rice driving out with the ball only to have to stop because we have a CDM playing up top who just can't make any runs down the channels or offer an out ball. It's not Merino's fault- he just isn't capable

Some of the Liverpool midfield players earning rave reviews like Gravenberch, Szoboszlai and MacAllister - i would love to see how effective they were in a team where they had Mikel Merino at CF, a 17 year old winger and Trossard

You know my feelings on Captain Invisible - he's been a disgrace at times this year but at least he was less of a coward today and got on the ball.

We don't have the players- it is that simple

THREE FCUKING TIMES in the first half timber made a great run in behind the forest player only for captain fcuking invisible to check back and take more touches - I have said it for a long time now, players who thrive on early balls in behind the opposition defence to run onto are being screwed by a player who values quantity of touches rather than the quality of them A proper creative playmaker see's those runs and picks out those passes, and I wish we had Ian Wright or Henry up front now cos they would not be slow in bollocking him for his self indulgence when he should be playing them in
