As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Absolutely loving this - Theo's raring to sit that pine! Am I the only one who finds it hysterical that the Ox is in ahead of Theo?
I also wonder if he is off this summer as well...
I would love it if Walcott was to go, in fact I would knock one out on the strength, I really can't stand to see him or his silly gay like clap he does to the crowd when he eventually gets hooked..
Not just me then, it is like so gentle it probably doesn't make a noise at all. Have finally seen him win a header this season after what 4 years...?

Buying early, buying proven players with International experience to compliment what he already has and strengthen in vital areas. Keep VP, buy M'Vila and a decent back up keeper like Gordon and Jaaskalinen and I would be a very happy camper.
Too late for Jaaskalinen - he has rejoined Fat Sam at Wet Ham - Maybe we should take Green on a free or take a cheeky punt for McGregor as Rangers wouldn't be in a position to reject any offer worth a bean now.

Said this before and I'll say it again: Giroud really isn't very good. The quality attacking player in that Montpellier squad is Belhanda and that's who a serious manager would be going for. This reminds me of Wenger signing Gervinho from Lille when Hazard was stood next to him!
Mind you of course any player Wenger signs is bound to turn up top class. Now let's recall the last quality Ligue 1 striker Wenger signed...
I'll ask the same question I asked after he signed Park: if Giroud is so decent, why is there virtually zero competition for his signature, considering he's apparently the French Gerd Muller? I remember the clamour for Benzema when he left Lyon. Giroud seems to be interesting none of the big teams - why is that? The same reason Gervinho and Park interested none of the big teams? Who was the last quality striker the Arsenal scouting department signed? Wasn't it RVP? How long ago was that then? 2004 you said?!
I find it hilarious. This is a massive downgrade on RVP. It's like swapping an iPhone for a Mercury One to One. But Arsenal fans are so desperately deluded, they'll convince themselves Giroud and Poldi is an improvement; just as we didn't really need Nasri (hi Gervinho), just as Fabregas would be replaced by Ramsey (LOL), just as Adebayor could bugger off (how many years did it take to get RVP fit to replicate those goals?), just as we can't judge Park until he's kicked a ball etc etc
Giroud is good for a Montpellier. He's on Kevin Gameiro level.
Put him with the big boys and he's lost. FACT.
Still. Let's have this convo again next May ok? Happy to accept I'm wrong if he hits at least 20 league goals.
I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt, but this is it, I'm 100% convinced you're a WUM.

Cheer's I must have missed that about Jaaskalinen.
Gordon for me as well as I can't see McGregor coming as a nr 2.

Dont be daft!!!
If he wants CL footy he will go either Chavski or Manure.....he wont ever wear the red and white...
what like Sol ?
just had another thought, if 'arry goes (and the telegraph just said he's gone) I wonder if we will nip in and take Vertonghen ?
that could be the case if modric and bale want out - why would Vertonghen sign for them ?
I thought of Sol when i was writing my previous post, but its not really is it after all Sol was on a Bosman and walking into a team on the verge of something great. For Modric is not the player we would pay good money for and unless he is due a contract renewal i dont want to see Gail Tilsley in an Arsenal shirt ever!
