Could you imagine someone like a Ferguson letting someone of Walcott's "level" hold the club to random wash time?
When Theo was mucking the club around the AKBs were saying "let him go".
Now he's signed he'll no doubt be as important as Ronaldo

You've surpassed yourself on that one :-P :-P :-P

Wenger did excellent in getting rid of that lazy c£nt Podolski and more than happy for his wages to go towards retaining the far more consistent Walcott.
Yeah great move Arsene on Podolski!
By the by. Who was the genius manager that spent £12m on him, and have him wages of £100k a week? :rubchin:

It's like taking a dump on a car bonnet and then lauding yourself for having the foresight to clean it up

Random wash time? :?

I didn't know Theo was helping Vic Akers with washing the first team kits? :o - that brings a whole new meaning to Theo "taking the club to the cleaners" :rubchin:

Walcott is a very marketable England International, who if sold would easily get the figures other clubs throw about at average players let alone the £250k that Rooney / RVP were on.
More like £200k p/w, Stuart.

Podolski was a let down no doubt, dunno why half the peeps on here cream themselves at the very mention of his name. Lazy player in the same mould as Bendtner and Arshavin for workrate . A player with half the ability (Giroud) has contributed more to the team in the time he has been in the squad.

Re: Walcott,

One could argue that he is actually underpaid by modern day England international standards. I’m not saying keep him at all costs, but if anyone thinks that somebody like Jordan Henderson deserves parity with Wally then they’re mental.

So yeah, if I were Walcott you can bet your bollocks I'd be looking for a pay-hike. I really don't understand the shit Wally gets on here; he's a decent player, scores goals and doesn't come across as a fucking tool. Plus, it's not as if we're overflowing with striking talent.

One could say he owes us after we’ve stood by him whilst he’s been running van Turncoat and Diaby for time spent on the treatment table, but that cuts both ways too: he’s seen multi-millions spunked on total shit in his time with us and probably reckons he is entitled to at least ask for ‘market value’.

It's not our money, and 99% spend all day moaning and bitching about Wenger’s parsimony, so I don’t have any grievance if he’s haggling.

Play giroud on the wing and see what he will contribute - podolski is a centre forward (although not a lone striker) but just as in the cases of arshavin and bendtner, he was played out of position on the wing  :x

But for me that description sums up wally perfectly - he isn't top quality (or anywhere near) but postures around like he should be viewed as the main man at the club  He seems to believe that he should be played as a central striker, but his erratic finishing should prohibit that from ever happening. Personally I think that we are already over-paying decent players and I don't see the point in compounding that situation. I don't see him as first choice in the current system, and I don't think he could work as a winger in the 4-4-2 formation either cos his attitude to working back absolutely stinks :x

For every shot that balloons into the stands there's another that is an absolute beauty. I don't think he's great (we're agreed on that), but I do think he's a decent striker, and certainly better that Welbeck.

Not that it means anything as it’s a friendly, but Feo’s scored today.

Arsene, Arsene sign him up. Arsene, Arsene sign him up. :barscarf:
