THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

So our 'expert' manager. over 30 years in the game says players bodies change at 23yo. So Wilshere may not always be injured. Le Clueless has coached many players like this, including he says 'Robin van Persie'!! Yup, our perma-crocked ex striker who got injured every season pretty much, was actually a changed man at 23.......fuck me he could hardly have walked then!! I wonder if Wonga took him to Lourdes?? :banghead: :banghead:

Nothing changes - still totally clueless after 30+years.

Utter nonsense.

You're either too young to remember those years or you're brain damaged. Either way, you're just wrong.

Another season set up perfectly to start as an absolute stinker before he panic buys one star player and we end up coming from 8th in October to secure the VT once more. Who on earth could ever match that massive achievement ?

I've not posted on this thread in a while as it seemed hypocritical to celebrate the recent successes then slag the manager. Whilst I think cech will still prove to be a good signing, wenkers failure to strengthen elsewhere shows nothing has really changed so it's still a big fat FUCK OFF WENKER from me

The first qualifying round that they played they fielded almost an entire reserve and youth team against some Andorran amateurs whilst the established first teamers were on holiday before some returned to meet the mighty Maltese in the next round. Then they got dicked by the 4th best team in Romania......clearly an overwhelming advantage on us !

Yeah losing midweek to a bunch of Romanian part timers with a completely different 11 than started today really made the difference

He's an embarrassment, a charlatan and a fraud and he should be ridiculed out of the job.

No, but we’ll probably hear that we have “great mental strength”, “played with the handbrake on”, “the players were a leetle beet nervous”, and “we lacked a leelt beet of sharpness in the final third”.

I must admit I was shocked to see a second half stat showing 65 per cent possession for us so I am waiting to hear whether there was an illusionary domination

His post match comments tend to wind me up as much as the game

I know I should stop listening, but I never learn :x
