I didnt see a second of last nights game but am wondering how the 6ft 5" beanpole did up front for slovenia last night ? I obviously know that he didnt score, but did he look like a player that is worth 60m-70m+ ?

He did absolutely nothing. At half time I could remember him touching the ball once. Subbed in the second half. Not fair to judge a bloke on one performance, but very poor on this showing.

I was thinking a few days ago that many of us on here have been going on for months/years about our lack of a proper goal scoring striker, but having watched quite a lot of the Euros, it's evident that there aren't any out there! I don't think I've seen one striker where I've thought "we must go after him". Generally poor quality in the front lines in this competition imo. Probably accounts for the boring games and the lack of goals.

Anyone else seen a striker or strikers that they've been impressed with?
