Don't confuse that with unabashed support for some of our current players...
BUT .....isnt that what we need sometimes a plan B .... like i said before ...gotta be better than the forehead ....and he's working his socks of trying with a Villa team that are more shit than that lot from the lane
Hasn't he declared that he is a Gooner too ? something along the lines of I am happy at Villa at the moment but my dream is to play for Arsenal.

It's my dream to play for The Arsenal too but that doesn't make me good enough though

Havent seen it mentioned on here by Mbiwa has completed his
£7m move to Newcastle United. I mean come on, its not as if we couldn't afford him and he's French with African heritage ffs. He ticks all the boxes of a Wenger signing but of course, silly me, hes not super quality. I mean he might actually know how to defend and we cant have someone who might not conform to the sacred rules of Wengerball. Carzola used to shoot from distance a lot- fortunately ODL is correcting this unacceptable behaviour at the Ministry of Truth, I mean London Colney.
On a serious note £7m is good value for a 23 year old French international defender and certainly worth taking a chance on. Its interesting that when Newcastle are struggling with their aims for the season that the chairman and the manager go about trying to rectify the problems with the squad as a matter of urgency. Compare this with the deafening silence from Arsenal as the VT slips further and further from sight.
Its a sad state of affairs

I honestly think villa is the guy we want, but I just can't see barca letting him go. Cue wenger giving it large how we almost signed a quality player! I love diame too, better than diaby and just as injury prone! Those two could easily muster up 10 games between em rather than diabys 4

I'm not exactly crying over the fact we missed out on this Yanga Mbiwa guy to be honest. Maybe i'll be proven wrong. Come back to me in a few years if he turns out to be the missing piece in Wenger's jigsaw.

I agree.
From what I have seen he is about the same as Coquelin.
No disrespect to either player, both appear to me to be at the level of squad players who get the occasional start and can cover a variety of positions to a reasonable level.
Useful types to have in any squad, and we had a few like that in the 2002 - 2005 years such as Kanu, Wiltord and Edu who were mostly decent above average components with the occasional flash of brilliance though did not start too many games.
But cannot see Mbiwa be a catalyst for any great improvement at Arsenal.

Fuck me. With all these French players Newcastle have accumulated they may as well have the French national anthem played at St. James' Park before the start of games.

Haha imagine if we'd signed this African-born French defender from 12th-placed Ligue 1 side who also supplied us with Giroud... don't think too many on here would have been happy that we'd spent £7m on him. Yet because he goes to Newcastle some people are complaining we're too tight to sign him. No pleasing some.

Exactly.....if it were up to some people we would be signing 225 players this transfer window
