As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Takes balls to come on here and talk bollox like you consistently do, not so sure i would go public on a Man U site !!!
as bad as rooney is and has been for some time, we will be the player woy will be building the side around next year in france. the media love in for him after achieving the feat of scoring 50 tap-ins against former soviet states in international matches is quite weird, fair play to the lad, he was explosive and exciting 10 years ago, now...well, he fucking ain't
Interesting to note that despite Manure's good league position, a chunk of their fans are in open revolt at the style of play Van Gaal has implemented.
Tedious, paceless, sideways, backwards football.
I can't quite put my finger on it, but that seems very familiar somehow

Difference is their fans will hound LVG out,the lot over the Grove will sit on their hands and tolerate this shit year after year while paying huge money for the privilage
We are the least entertaining side in the league but we're hard to beat.
I am on the fence with Van Gaal. Since he has come in he has turned a 7th place side into a CL team again, signed some very good players in Martial, sorted our defence out, cleared away the deadwood in Fletcher, Evans, the constantly injured Rafael etc and turned Smalling into one of the best CB's in the league.
But at the same time, going forward we are pretty bad.
Whilst we sit in 3rd place the fans will put up with it - but already some are getting fed up.
I can see what Van Gaal is trying to achieve and will leave an excellent squad of players for the next manager. But he needs to drop Rooney and give the armband to Smalling or Schweinsteiger.
Our owners won't accept much longer without trophies. I think Van Gaal has the rest of this season to improve things and if he doesn't we will bring in a new face come the summer.

In fairness though Derek, spending £250m+ will invariably do that for you. I think that having spent that amount of money, your fans are entitled to expect a lot more than what he is providing He hasn't a Scooby doo what he is doing (team selection wise) from one week to the next, and he seems to have gone all wenker-like - he is playing players out of position to fit a system that doesn't suit the squad at his disposal.
van gaal is a moaninho hit and run type of manager - he will go into a club, achieve some short term success, and then fcuk off and leave the club in a mess when he goes
Also United were not a 7th placed side in reality - they were a top 4 side who just didn't perform for Moyes for whatever reason.
With not having any European fixture congestion last year (as well as going out of both domestic cups fairly early), with the money van Gaal spent last year a title challenge was far from out of the equation. He pissed away half the season employing frankly stupid tactics and the end result was the absolute bare minimum that could have been expected.
Despite spending another shed load of money the team hasn't really kicked on this year, although the rest of the teams at the top continuing to get poorer helps perceptions. The whole style of play is just an added kicker and would not be an issue were United 5 points clear.
I can see them stumbling over the winning line this season, the lack of goals conceeded being the key. Any of the top 6 need to put in a good run and they will win it (Well any 5 or the top 6 )
