In what world does he need to convince anyone at the club to sign off on a player. He’s finished 2nd twice, the board are merely going to ask who he wants to bring in, to strengthen the squad. Plus, it’s clear we’ll be fucking off one of Clivechenko or Kiwior (please be the former) so there’s clear need for a left sided defender.

🚨 Arsenal have a £20 Million and Reiss Nelson offer to Feyenoord for Quinten Timber sent forward. Nelson's wage demands and having the remainder of his contract paid up might prove a stumbling block . At this point Arsenal have agreed terms with Quinten but are struggling to meet Feyenoord's high valuation of over €60 Million .

Talks continue... #arsenalfanaticsnews

How much do we have to pay them?

🚨🔵⚪️ Lazio director Fabiani confirms: “We want Nuno Tavares and there’s an agreement with Arsenal”.

“We now need to agree on personal terms with Nuno’s agents but I’m very confident, we have very good chances to sign him”. @FabrizioRomano

Tavares bid accepted with an obligation to buy, apparently.

Nketiah linlee to Marseille and Reiss Nelson also heavily linked away.

This is hot tub level qualiteeeee. :barscarf:

🚨 @David_Ornstein on Calafiori: “This is a target for Mikel Arteta, this is a player he’d like to sign. He may have to convince some within Arsenal of this, to get everybody on board, because I think there are some concerns around whether Arsenal need that position.

“Clearly Calafiori is extremely enthusiastic about the possibility of joining Arsenal. I was told some time ago that he’s completely on board if the clubs can agree a deal. Bologna are asking for around €50m, which many in the game feel is significantly above his market value.”

Thank fcuk somebody is questioning the man cos his transfer policy is all over the place imo - I have said it before but will say it again, how much research is the cone boy actually doing on these signings ? Kiwor, trusty, tavares, lokongo and numerous keepers all seem to be bought and within months cast into the "not good enough bin" and it makes me wonder how much scouting is going into the signings :? People keep making the argument that as long as we not losing money on these signings then what is the harm, but what is the point in signing players that are not good enough to play and then see our season collapse when players are fatigued cos of a lack of rotation ? No doubt we need signings, but the board are entitled to ask if in a years time will Calafiori be on his way out the door like kiwor

Arsenal have had a bid rejected for Wolves goalkeeper Dan Bentley. Told offer was £50,000, which is a way off Wolves' valuation. Goalkeeper has one year left on his contract.
Typical Arsenal. They want £1m and we offer £50k :barscarf:
Is Mark Schwarzer available if we put another bid in ?

BBC Sports:

Arsenal have accepted a loan offer from Lazio for their 24-year-old Portuguese full-back Nuno Tavares with an obligation to buy for between £6m and £7m.

I'd almost forgotten about him!

Marseille are interested in Arsenal's 25-year-old England striker Eddie Nketiah

Oh! I fucking hope they take him, just depends on how much we'll have to pay them :?

Why are we looking to buy a goalkeeper that we value at only 500k and wolves value at only a million?? I know nothing about the bloke, but how fucking good can he be?

I'm getting very worried about our transfer activity. I know it's always difficult when the Euros / WC is being played, but there's too many stark reminders of the dreaded Wenger summers for my liking. Constantly liked with all sorts of players, in all sorts of positions, but fuck all happening. Why is it always a fucking saga with us when we want to sign someone. It drags on and on and either nothing happens or someone like the chavs nip in and nick the bloke at the 11th hour. Prime example is Calafiori....are we fucking signing him or not?!

Worst of all, we desperately need a top quality striker, but are linked to a series of them that all seem decidedly 2nd rate, although admittedly, I don't know much about any of them. It seems clear that Arteta doesn't have a number one target that he is doggedly going after.

We also need a centre mid to play alongside Rice (not impressive at the Euros btw), but again, fuck all seems to be happening.

I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if we start the season with no additional striker and rely on Granit Havertz as our main man :banghead: and sign a no mark centre mid.

He's signing defenders and goalkeepers but currently doing nothing about the two key areas where we're seriously lacking in quality. I'd be far happier if we signed a top level centre mid and striker and left the back line as it is, if there's insufficient funds to do it all.

As much as I think we need a top left back and a better keeper, I agree fully that the two key positions and our priorities have to be a top striker and a top midfielder to play beside Rice. 100%. 8)

Also think tying Saliba down to a "seriously Madrid fuck off" iron clad contract is vital. And then pray he stays injury free again because Gabriel goes to shit without him. Indeed our whole defence drops a level without him. :|

We value him at 50000 not 500k they want a million for a GK that they only bought for 50k who is in the last Yr of his contract and has played fuck all for them last season

We think he's only worth 50k !!!

Fuck me, we could just about pick up a bloke over Hackney Marshes for that. Bad enough that we're after a guy that Wolves value at only a million, but why the fuck do we want a keeper that we think is only worth 50k?? We've happily paid 30 million for Raya, so we consider him to be 600 times better than this bloke. Stone me, he must be way beyond useless.

I'm becoming convinced that Wenger is back and directing our transfer strategy.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but I've got a horrible feeling that we're gonna be seriously underwhelmed by what happens this summer. :(
