We've got more chance of finding oil than consistency!!
4th place is a dream, no more this season, we are looking good for 6th at best.

We still have a considerable chance of finishing 4th. Other main contenders are Spurs, and look how disastrous they can be as we found out both last season in general and also a few weeks back.

No chance of finishing 4th??? :?
we have to get past three of scum, chavs, everton and west brom, all who are six points of ahead of us. if it was just one or two teams, then yes its likely we'll catch them - but win three more games than four teams, nope.

5 wins out of 15 games projects us to win 15 games. you need 19 or 20 wins to get 4th, sometimes 21.

true, its up and down this year and it looks like the points total will more likely mean 19.

i think 4th is gone and we missed it after the last three games. 1 point out of 9...

if that makes me a negative fucker, then yes i am.

To be fair they were playing us off the park a few weeks ago until the lazy money grabbing c**t got sent off for them - I know that I am not alone in thinking that we would have lost that game if it was 11 v 11

I agree with you mate, we looked awful and those 2 up front would have bagged a couple I have no doubt. But fact is they managed to self-destruct and take a pasting. If Bale is missing for 6 league games or more they'll be fucked, they have very little creativity without him. I know we have been fucking gash recently in particular but players like Livermore and Gallas still feature for them, they're far worse than they were last year.

It has really gone sour for Wenger now.

Until Kroenke is gone, I cannot see much change.

But I would now take Wenger leaving and Kroenke staying if that was all that was on offer.

Last summer I thought Wenger deserved another year, but the lack of purchases and incorrect purchases is sending us into a slump, again.

Time for a change ASAP.

as players i like Giroud, Podolski, Carzola and Arteta, they are all talented and hardworking.

its the non-existent tactics and inflexibility that has killed us.

can anyone remember a double substitution that changed a game. nope . neither can i.

What is your bar for talent, because Giroud isn't fit to shine Van Persie's boots.

Either are most strikers in the world to be fair, Giroud is a great talent he has shown that already but it unfair to compare him to a fully fit red hot RVP.

I think Giroud is a hard working Bendtner. There's just a real lack of quality and consistency in most of the squad.
The defence is awful, really awful and I don't think it is because the players are piss poor, they aren't. I think it's really bad planning, tactics and practice and from that, lack of confidence.
We need to sign at least three top quality players, same as before, striker, defensive midfielder and natural winger.
We DESPERATELY need to get rid of the dead wood, even if we have to let them go on a free because they are costing us millions in wages each year. The club may be in profit but it's actually being run VERY badly because money is being pissed up the wall because of crap players earning fortunes.

Why not, Arsenal should have a World Class CF, Giroud is very far of the title-winning level. To go from Henry, Adebayore, Van Persie to Giroud is a joke. And yes, I do think Adebayore is a superior CF to Giroud in every department, EXCEPT, mentally.

Yes Arsenal should have top class players , but all your players listed are just examples of the way the squad in general has been dumbed down since the invincibles. All of those players are good players but none are as good as their predecessors. You can always carry a couple of lesser players in a team but when those lesser players become your star players you find yourself in the trouble that we currently are in.

did you see that goal he scored against Spain for France ?

yes or no ?

and alan smith was a 'hard working bentdner' - nothing wrong with that imho. every squad should have one.

Van Persie is and was a exceptional talent - one of a generation like van basten, horseface, bergkamp etc.
