Is it possible that this was what the latest bid was all about ? Schwarzer has put in transfer request and has built his hopes up that he is joining us and wenger doesnt want to appear like a *word censored* for dropping him in favour of shay given so he puts in another (cheap

) bid knowing that it will be rejected but then he can say to schwarzer that he did try to sign him but fulham priced him out of any move. Of course this could be all wishful thinking on my behalf

If only Wenger was that brave/cynical!!!

I'm afraid to say that it looks like we'll either up the bid for Schwarzer or stick with the chuckle brothers.

Could be because Fulham now know that Schwarzer wants to leave, so Arsenal are hoping they will change their mind?

More likely that Arsenal have pointed out that in May you could only get 1.14 Euros to the pound and now you can get 1.16!

Arsenal are hoping that this huge difference will persuade Fayed to seel as he is a bit short of spending money for his holiday!

The bloke on sky reckoned Arsenal were just seeing if they could get him on the cheap after he's handed in a transfer request. They added that Wenger may now just look elsewhere.

Bit stupid from Fulham really.
