Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Our bench yesterday was a joke. Three full-backs (none of which have set the world on fire for us) and an old CM who is three yards too slow. This less than three weeks after the window closed. Penny-pinching is embarrassing as much as anything else when you look at how much money we have in the bank, how much we have coming in, how much we charge our fans and how much we piss away on wages.

Yes mate, but they all missed out on Giroud, Gervinho and Sanogo didn't they?? Now that's what I call value from the French market.....think of those dizzying prices we were saved from you ungrateful sod. Oh and I how can I forget....we whipped Park away from under the noses of all the top scouts fishing around in France tooIkechukwu1 wrote:SteveO I think Arsene was expecting Monaco to deliver Martial Amazon Prime style, next day delivery with a shiny red bow tied on him. Better to hand Galactico contracts to human turds Wankcott and Giroud eh?
I won't contrast that with all the pts our shite have cost us!
Isn't it funny how since everyone else cottoned onto France being a source for players, Le Twat has done sod all in that market?
Schneiderlin went Soton, Pogba joined ManYoo, LVG got Martial, Spuds got Lloris for just £7m, Varane he never even was in for before Real got him for just £10m, Kingsley Coman went to Juve etc...
Oh hold on. "We work 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week to bring you..."

2 games, 2 goals and played in their mid-week Champions League game as well.
and the fact that Wanker specifically denigrated this signing by saying it was proof of how overinflated the transfer market was is further proof he's off his meds.

and didn't he make some comment about 'soft pitches' and strikers as well, this guy is a total joke, I sometimes honestly think he's going senile.Redarmy wrote:Wenger came out with some crap that there are no strikers developing in Europe, only south America, he's definitely in a word of his ownSteveO 35 wrote:Yes mate, but they all missed out on Giroud, Gervinho and Sanogo didn't they?? Re: THE WENGER THREAD
I would argue that the players didn't try to get Costa sent off because it means fuck all to them. They don't feel cheated, they accept the game is gone and go through the motions until FT. None of the players have any passion for the club, and see it as nothing more than a high paying gig, in which the pressure to succeed is off.StuartL wrote:All the players had to do was keep their cool, take turns in winding Costa up until he got another booking / red.BFG4 wrote:Yesterday showed what being part of Wenger's Arsenal is like. When an opposing player clearly cheats and ruins your chances of winning the game, how do our players react. They do fuck all, no harassing or irritating Costa, or even going in hard on him, just accepting what happened and getting on with it. Wenger has bred a team of losers with zero fight, and a team that doesn't give a shit about their teammates. This loser mentality is running through all aspects of the club and wont begin to be eradicated until Wenger fucks off.
We appear to have no nous in the big matches at all

we have so far played total shit in every match this season and yet we are still 5thRiotof91 wrote:Henry Norris 1913 wrote:it's been said so many times before but- if you stand still, you're moving backwards. we stood still this summer and in doing so moved backwards from an already precarious position. i don't see us finishing fourth this year- it's been said before but we haven't played well once this season and we don't even seem to have that gritty side to our game that got us through at the end of last year. stoke at home, ok we dominated but I'm not at all convinced by it- confidence is seeping away quickly and looking at our fixtures where is the nest nailed on 3 points? How many times have we been here before. There's no danger of us dropping out the top four.

4th place is nailed on - City or Chavs champions, United 3rd and us 4th. so so predictable.
West Ham and Leicester will fight it out to be the Southampton of this season
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Sounds about right. We forever remain in the intolerable position of not being good enough to win the title and not being bad enough to drop out of the top 4.Gunner Rob wrote:we have so far played total shit in every match this season and yet we are still 5thRiotof91 wrote:Henry Norris 1913 wrote:it's been said so many times before but- if you stand still, you're moving backwards. we stood still this summer and in doing so moved backwards from an already precarious position. i don't see us finishing fourth this year- it's been said before but we haven't played well once this season and we don't even seem to have that gritty side to our game that got us through at the end of last year. stoke at home, ok we dominated but I'm not at all convinced by it- confidence is seeping away quickly and looking at our fixtures where is the nest nailed on 3 points? How many times have we been here before. Fans of most other clubs will say they would swap places and take that ... but until you experience the same thing over and over you can't appreciate how mind-numbingly tedious it is.
It just saps the passion and pride out of being a fan when your club clearly isn't giving 100% to be the best they can be. And it is excruciating when we KNOW it is possible to step up another level if the will to do so was there.

Anyone sincerely think that Jose wouldn't do much better with the current Arsenal squad? I've just read that Arsenal haven't scored a single league goal v Chelski since Mourinho returned. Pathetic. That was almost 3 years ago FFS

West Ham
‘Be careful what you wish for,’ was the title of a blog on Richard Keys’ website.
‘West Ham should be careful what they wish for with Sam Allardyce – better the devil you know,’ wrote Stan Collymore on the Daily Mirror website.
“If you’ve got Sam Allardyce as your manager you’re pretty much guaranteed to stay up,” said Jamie Redknapp. “He knows what he’s doing. He knows his way around the transfer market. It’s a dangerous game.”
“Sam knows his way around the Premier League,” said Graeme Souness. “Tried and trusted. It’s one of those. Be careful what you wish for.”
These examples are just those taken from the first page of Google for a search of ‘West Ham be careful what you wish for’, but there are sure to have been many others telling West Ham just how lucky they were to have had Sam Allardyce. Rather than paying the price for ambition, Davids Gold and Sullivan and Karren Brady will be toasting the name of their new manager. The champagne sure will taste sweet.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR
West Ham beat the most expensive 11 in PL history on Saturday, away from home.
Didn't hear a single bullshit excuse about "financial doping" etc, just a manager that went out with a smart tactical plan.

this is what I wrote back in July.Gunner Rob wrote:since Mourinho returned to Chelsea we have yet to score against a goal against them let alone come close to beating them (Goal diffence 0:10) so you would have to be pretty thick to think that we are likely to challenge them for the league this season.
if we score 1 goal v them in the 3 matches we have so far scheduled v them it will be an improvement...
to be fair we did score against them in the Community Shield but of course the wait in competitive matches goes on...
