THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Awww you old romantic :D
Although a "rodder's blessing" normally means something else

Whilst I hate Le Tool that is sad news for him and it's his personal life. Having said that, it's more proof of his incredible capacity to be a self-serving egotist in my book: why hasn't he left? Seriously? Many fans aren't happy, your ineptitude gets constantly called out by the press, Mourinho has globally humiliated you year after year for over a decade...You will never see your CL dream become reality. WHY CONTINUE?

Mind you I'm sure this news is a Godsend for the Cult-like AKB:
"Arsene sacrificed his marriage for us, it shows he loves us more than his own family. No other manager could show such love."

(I'm sure it has absolutely nothing to do with that story involving a French rapper, which strangely coincides with the period they stopped living together) :rubchin:

Looks like he promised his wife that he would walk away from football a couple of years ago. Pity that he didn't.
She's the lucky one, she can walk away.We can't.

He banged a french rapper but still remained with his wife. He flirted with real madrid but stick with AFC. The man's life is full of such complex similarities

Expect to see a redaction march in the very near future begging le cock to stay and with banners proclaiming "love arsenal, hate annie"

Tbh I don't give a flying fcuk about his marriage breaking up - not being overly dramatic, but everything involving The Arsenal has had an effect on my personal life for years and in recent years he has given me a lot more shit days than good one's, so if he suffers in his personal life too then I don't give a fcuk :x
The Arsenal......It's a way of Life 8)

I bet it won't take him eight years to replace her, he'll find a market full of "quality" and tbh she was beginning to look a "leetle bit jaded physically"
But she said "he was a leeeetle bit short"
It's ok, as he "works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week" to find a solution!
I think the reason he's not yet replaced her is because of "dizzying prices". And there's "no solutions available".
The answer "isn't always to buy".

On a brighter note he could always look to "internal solutions" and marry the maid!

I blame oil money. And Mike Dean.

Does it???

Reason i ask is that although every now and then theres some articles bemoaning the fact that le fraud is a bit stubborn and tunnel visioned ive yet to hear of a journo except Jacqui give him even close to a hard time...i'd go so far as to say that most Journo's are brown nosing twats bowing at the alter of lord wenger afraid of their lives to lose a handy gig. Even the likes of Lawrence an actual arsenal fan wont do the right thing and have a go....gutless fuckers!!!!

augie wrote:Thats my point too xgtdec - he could have walked away at anytime to save his marraige if that is what he wanted, but he stayed and continued to pocket the £8.5m per season for doing the square root of fcuk all :x we on the other hand are born and bred Gooners and will be Gooners long after he has left the club, so walking away isnt really an option for us.
I'm not glad that his marriage has broken up or anything, but at the same time I dont feel any sympathy for him either
Augie you're spot on with the timing of this leak. Interesting. Thought the exact same, it curiously comes off the back of his worst ever transfer window. Like I said it's not nice for Wenger but then again, where's the sympathy for all those low-earning Arsenal fans who get fleeced every year, who also go through break-ups but don't have £8m p/a to split assets? Where's the sympathy for them? You know, the ones subsidising Wenger's divorce settlement and Kroenke and Gazidis' thieving?

Very true and unfortunate for Amy Lawrence but understandable as she's part of the establishment now. Her livelihood depends on her trawling around the edges of issues rather than getting to the heart of them.
