As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Should easily replace Verminator(sad enough). I admit Williams is not the best player with his feet, but he manage to hit Van Pervert on the head!!!!
Is he really "proven" in the PL though? Certainly not to the extent that he would bolster a side that should be hoping to push towards PL and CL.
The only reason he is rated is because he makes so many last-ditch blocks which morons like Redknapp think is the be-all and end-all of PL defending. If he wasn't such a fucking carthorse and had more positional discipline he wouldn't have to defend so desperately all the time.
Thing is all these websites etc were desperate to get the first scoop so they were all reporting that the deal was basically done without knowing so. Clearly it wasn't so 7-10 days later they have no option but to print another story to suggest it has stalled/hit the rocks to avoid admitting they were incorrectly guessing.

Personally, and I kid you not when I say this, but I am still scarred by the kluivert saga all those years ago when he was 100% certain to sign for us - to this day the missus still gives me abuse over that story everytime a fcuking transfer window opens
Never rated Kluivert and thought he had a terrible attitude.
I could never understand what all the fuss was about, and I'm sure his stock grew more out of reputation (playing for Barca, Ajax and Holland) than his performances on the pitch deserved. Bizarre.
Wasn't surprised one bit that his career petered out to nothing once he'd left the comforts of Barcelona.

Hopefully Higuain and fellani will sign.
can see that argument - Wenger's big money record is pretty poor
Reyes, Arshavin, Na$ri all basically failed. Wiltord was an expensive (but important) squad player
Personally still think he deserves a crack at spending some cash

Bit harsh. Nasri was hardly 'big money' he was 12m and whilst I dont think he was consistent, he justified the tag. Hell we got 25m for him. Reyes was a HUGE part of our unbeaten run. He scored some very vital goals. I believe in 05 he scored a goal in almost every game for the first 6-7. It was a shame he was home sick but I wouldnt call him a flop like the media would. AA did well his first season and his second. The problem was his contracts length really. If it were 4 years instead of 5 it wouldnt have been a huge deal.
@AgentJim_ on Twitter also tweeted this. He also claims Highy, Felly and Ceaser are all DONE deals. I'm going to admit it sounds like ITK Sammy bollocks but this guy has got over 15+ transfers right from lower leauges up right, breaking news about bids and deals before sky + media announce them.
