he basically said that the fans have lost faith in AW's tactics and ability to manage the team anymore.

which is spot on.

i think this is the first time when every paper has called wenger out and said 1 pt from 9 and 5 wins from 15 is not up to Arsenal standards even pre-Wenger...
you mean this.....

yeah, thats the one.

i thought it was an even handed piece...

i would go further and say that AW's ability has gone - his fear of tactical changes, of substitutions, of blooding young players (look at Ramsay being kept on when we have Coquelin for example).

i can understand the lets stick together comments, but i still can't after 3 days rationalise the line up last Saturday and the two games before that.

my faith has gone, i'm now an Arsene agnostic - i'm not sure if he exists or not.

if we win 5-0 against the baggies on saturday and then go unbeaten until april including into the FA cup semi's and ECL final, maybe i'll say my gut was wrong but i don't think so.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THESE ARE NEW QUOTES;
"Let's not go overboard," he said. "We lost on Saturday and of course we not happy with that. But I'm confident that we have strong team, that we have a strong spirit in the side and that will come out.

"We have rebuilt the team on two ways. Firstly, in bringing in new players. Secondly, in getting some players back from long-term injury.

"I feel there's a lot of strength in our team and patience and keeping mental strength will turn it round in an easy way.

"This club is in fantastic shape because we have a good team, we have a strong structure of the club that we have built over the years, we are in a strong financial situation and we are mentally strong.

"I can understand that not everybody is pleased about that, but that's a fact. And that's why we have to continue to behave how we do."

"There's nothing more irritating than superficial information nowadays."

"It would be better that people are a bit responsible for what they write."

The next generation of Arsenal players already have an massive ego, the Barcelona starlet that we snatched has his name on his own fucking trainers! Saw this on his Twatter! The whole mindset of the club is f*cked.

This is one of the worst I've seen in a long time (taken from the Olympiakos thread)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... -City.html

Arsene Wenger insists he would not swap places with Manchester City as he backed his Arsenal team to overcome their worst start in 18 years.

The Frenchman is in Greece for the Gunners final Champions League group game against Olympiacos knowing that a place in the knockout stages has already been secured.

City, meanwhile, are in Germany to play Borussia Dortmund in another dead rubber having themselves been eliminated at the first hurdle for the second season in a row.

The two club's fortunes are wildly contrasting domestically, as well, only this time it is City in the ascendancy, sitting second, while Arsenal are clinging on to a top-half place by their fingernails.

And yet, Wenger is happy with his current situation compared with that of his rivals.

'I wouldn't swap places with Manchester City. We have 23 games to come back on them in the league, but in the Champions League you're in or out.'

The Frenchman is coming under increased pressure from fans following a miserable run, punctuated only by the 5-2 home win over Tottenham.

Chants of 'you don't know what you're doing' have been heard home and away, but Wenger says he is unfazed and that he has no intention of walking away

He added: 'I don't think it affects me at all. You would be surprised.'

As Sportsmail revealed on Monday, Arsenal assistant manager Steve Bould accused the current crop of stars of letting themselves and the club down in a dressing room tirade on Saturday.

The club legend was left seething by his side’s poor display as they slumped to an embarrassing 2-0 home defeat against Swansea.

The loss leaves Arsenal in 10th place, 15 points behind leaders Manchester United with a third of the season gone.

But reflecting on the stories, Wenger said: 'Nothing really happened after the game. But the players were not happy. You want them to dance?

'This group of players is highly motivated and if they don't win, they are upset.

'I'm more worried if I see players in the shower who laugh after lost. The most important thing is to win the next game and show how good you are.

'We are today December 3. Until January 1 we have many big games.

'What happens in January we'll see. At the moment our focus is on a period of competition. If we need to do something in January we'll do it.

'We have many challenges before then and when the transfer market opens we'll see what we do - if we do anything. We are in the country of Socrates - that's a bit like football.'

Wojciech Szczesny meanwhile is glad the Gunners have an immediate chance to get back to winning ways.

'It's good for us we have a Champions League game three days after and we have something to focus on. We were obviously frustrated and disappointed after the game but now it's about Olympiacos and we will do our best to move on.

'The players give 100 per cent in training and on a Saturday afternoon. I didn't say the players didn't want it enough (against Swansea).

'I'm definitely surprised by our position in the league. When you look at the quality of our players we should be fighting for the league. We have one of the best teams in the league, but it's our responsibility to put things right.

'What's gone wrong? That's not for me to say.'
WENGER CALLS FOR ALL ARSENAL FANS TO RESPECT HILL-WOOD

Arsene Wenger feels chairman Peter Hill-Wood must always carry respect for what he has done at the club.

The 76-year-old, who has been chairman of Gunners since 1982, is recovering well in hospital after having a heart attack on Friday following a bout of pneumonia.

Old Etonian Hill-Wood has often been dismissed as being out of touch with supporters, and was the subject of direct criticism at the club's recent fiery Annual General Meeting at Emirates Stadium.

Wenger, though, believes in general Arsenal fans acknowledge the importance of Hill-Wood's role.

'It looks a bit like the guy who shouts the loudest now is the opinion of everybody - it is not always reflecting people's deep mind,' said Wenger.

'I think the large majority of Arsenal fans have a deep respect of Peter Hill-Wood, what he deserves - people forget what this man has done for the club.

'I hope he will get well very soon and come back to the board very quickly.'

Hill-Wood is the third member of his family to serve as Arsenal chairman, following on from his father Denis (1962-1982) and his grandfather Samuel, who had two separate spells in the role between 1929 and 1936 and from 1946 to 1949.

I reckon most can recall quite clearly what he has done for the club...........
overseen a demise from champions to also rans, while selling his generations old family shares and profited by milllions upon millions.

Gee, we should be so grateful. :banghead:

He's done great things for the club but "all good things...."

Besides, if it's this bad now, how much worse will it be by 2014??? A fresh start never hurt anyone.
