"Snap, the owner of Snapchat, has confirmed it will make the UK its main hub outside the US.

The California-based tech giant, which is reportedly preparing for a $25bn (£21bn) stock market float on Wall Street, said the UK was "a great place to build a global business".

"Snapchat's announcement follows the move by McDonald's to switch its non-US tax base from Luxembourg to Britain as the fast food giant faces a battle with EU regulators over tax. "
And I guarantee you that this company won't have more than 1,000 employees in the UK. Look at all the other large US tech companies, the UK is a satellite not the centre of their core operations. It's a fraction of the city jobs that will be lost, when passporting rights go.

Overall it's nothing to do with jobs Flash, this is just more Murdoch headlines. You put the preverbial fishing rod out the other post. Why is it when Murdoch does it, you fall for it hook line and sinker. :D :D :D

The real reason is tax did you not pay attention to the budget?

but earlier in the thread (a page or two ago) DB10 was saying Sky news are anti Brexit and showing all the worst kind who voted.

You cant have it both ways :?

All these copy and paste headlines just proves one thing and i think it was one of my first posts on this stinking thread, no one knows how it will turn out. Chippy has posted things from the Guardian and the like saying how bad things will be yet posts from say The Mail/Sun/Sky (when it suits) are berated for posting lopsided stuff :?

Now you are just being stupid. You don't understand the stock market rally is purely down in the most part due to FOREIGN companies who earn their income in dollars. It has nothing to do with our economy.

With regards to choice of publication, do i need to pull up something like the Daily Mail more at your level?

Forget the lopsided arguments, let's look at pure facts don't bring in web-links. Make an argument without having to refer to any media organisation and you will be limited to one sentence of codswallop.

Haha, sorry DB10 reading it back it is a bit harsh. But he seems to be getting his references to what different contributors say, mixed up.

Funny how the financial and services sectors weren't so worried about job losses in this country when it was the manufacturing and heavy industries that were on the receiving end of things, crying when the shoe is on the other foot is slightly hypocritical

This is exactly why this country is so split, it's only ever about me, me, me on both sides :banghead:

There are way, way more dangerous things than what is going to happen to the economy over the next 5 -10 years to worry about right now in this world but so few people open their eyes beyond their immediate needs to see them :rubchin:

From the viewpoint of a lateralisationalist it might be argued that in order for your preposition to be accurate one of the 'me's' would need to be removed, thus making it bi-lateral or perhaps designed from a binaric perspective. Unless of course a triangular observation is being inferred, but even then logic would tend to dictate that another 'me' be used and so square (pun most definitely intended) that particular circle. However it might be a case of telaesthesia in which case there is no exact way to prove what has been said by anyone, at least not by employing the five senses.

I would suggest a nice cup of tea and a few biscuits with a few chapters of either Kant or Nietzsche, that should calm things down to a tolerable level of insanity.
