I'd love to know the basis of mc's confidence - sterling ticks so many of the cone boys boxes, plus he will probably be going cheapish (still not worth it imo), so I wouldnt be shocked at all if we signed him
If he signs for us Augie, I'll head over to your shop and buy all the sun newspapers off you .![]()

Williams would be an exciting signing. Would also put pressure on Martinelli to raise his game as he has been shit.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Spain is a pretty big team and he looked all right when he played for them. Not sure there's much truth in this latest rumour but I'd happily take him if we could get him, and like TeeCee said, it'd make Martinelli up his game too.augie wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 2:38 pmmcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 2:25 pm𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 | Arsenal now weighing up move for Nico Williams (22) in last week of transfer window!

That would be a big no thanks from me - I see him as a less bulky version of adama traore or doku, in other words all pace but fcuk all brains. Those type of footballers always look good at youtr mid level clubs where the gameplan is based around energy and commitment, but when they step up to the top level and a more intricate/thinking man's tactics are needed they constantly struggle

P.S. I still love Martinelli he's great but he needs to increase his goal tally. Good luck for this season.

With respect Bob, we've all been aware of that and screaming about it for weeks.

I'd be prepared to take Mudryk. I still think there's a footballer in there and it seems that the poor sod ended up at a club that he didn't want to join.
Of course, the one i wanted was Neto, but I suppose we'll buy him from the chavs in 5 yrs time when he's past his best and needs a final pay day.

Slysports will still find a way to flog the dead horse of Deadline day

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Chances are there will be loan deals going around as everyone is pleading poverty . I doubt there will be any big money deals . Looks like there is one in the pipeline for Vieira.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Vieira on loan to Porto apparently , £34 million down the drain !!!!!!!
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
As long as I never have to see him on the pitch in an AFC jersey again I will be happy - useless, lightweight portugese pussy brought in to squeeze smith-rowe out when he wasnt fit to lace smith-rowe's boots, but now that the cone boy succeeded in running our best young player out of town, he can finally admit defeat and fcuk the fake vieira back to where he came from

One fuckin' expensive cocktail stick FFS!

Okay, so we all know buying any player can be a Gamble, but just one look at the guy should have told him & Edu he would snap & break in a gust of wind, so how on earth was he going to cope with the rigours of The Prem?

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
one look at him in a game should tell you hes not going to fit into the premier league.....very poor signing
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Yup, Vieira is a bigger fuck up than Pepe was. I'd love to know who really wanted him, he's a fucking 14yo not a man. There was no way on earth he was ever going to make it in the PL. Terrible terrible signing.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I knew nothing of him prior to the Euros, and what I saw what ‘okay.’ That’s not a ding tk the big but rather indicative of the lack of natural defenders in European football these days. That and the fact that THAT Spain team was the ‘best’ team is just tragic.augie wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 2:38 pmmcdowell42 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 2:25 pm𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 | Arsenal now weighing up move for Nico Williams (22) in last week of transfer window!

While I can’t agree with augie’s opinion (as I’ve barely seen Williams breath) it should be noted that it’s signing the flavour of the month is not always the best thing.
Suffice to say, I doubt we’ll get Williams. I think we’ll end up with Mudryk.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Smith-Rowe's agent is on ssn transfer show at the moment and he more or less said that the AFC fans loved Smith-Rowe and management above the cone boy love Smith-Rowe, and the inference is of course that the cone boy didnt - I have long since said that someone above the cone boy was blocking him moving smith-rowe on earlier, cos it has been clear for years that he never rated smith-rowe
