As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Out of interest, will you still be saying that next March/April when we are out of the running for the PL because he has (yet again) failed to strengthen the squad during the January window?
Christ, you probably will, won't you?
IF that is the situation we find ourselves in then yes, of course I will, DB
You know my view will not have changed and I remain of the opinion I held a 3 odd years ago that the 10 years after that we will win things because of not in spite of, what he has done. 3+ years down the line we are two FA cups better to the good, have not had to sell our best and brightest and have, indeed, bought in well and our squad is as good as ever imo. We are certainly in a position to challenge and I will stick by what I have always said - with him or without we will have collected more trophies over the next 7 years quite simply because of what he has done and what he has brought us through. I will not change my mind from month to month and most definitely not at any given transfer period as that is a game for fools I feel.
He will leave in the next few years, probably, but will be instrumental in his replacement and the model he has been central to, will continue and I believe people long after me will reap the benefits of what he has done like so many of us have done post-Chapman (Herbert not Lee of course )
And we dedicate this post and indeed Steve and, heck, his alter ego Robin to the city of Paris.

The 'model'? The only 'model' I see (apart from the one Giroud is most likely banging as we speak) involves doing the bare minimum to finish 4th i.e. turn a profit for the owner; any trophies which happen to be won are simply a bonus. No one can sit there with a straight face and say they honestly believe the club is doing everything in their power to compete, because they're clearly not. The league is there for the taking and as per usual we're sitting there idly instead of being proactive and doing what's required.
sadly steve I is one of the brainwashed millions whose expectations have been lowered by the great man himself so that you actually believe that 4th spot is a success.this 'great model'that we are talking about is this the same one that involves our half baked squad being paid more that the great squad that is Bayern Munich? if so that is some fucked up model

I'm more than happy to listen to and accept the views of others provided there's some rational thought behind them, but sadly Steve I's post reads like typical apologist B.S spouted across your average Arse-Blog post. There's also the possibility he's on the wind-up and is having a good laugh at us all getting our arse cheeks chaffed and blistered over his posts
Not sure if it's just me, but I find the supporters of other teams even worse than the Arsenal-supporting AKBs - Man Utd fan at work on the 5-1, 6-3, 6-0 and 3-0 mullerings: "What other manager can lose all those games and still get top 4" Absolutely surreal

Id love Wenger to go to Madrid. Unfortunately he wont leave the cushy, overpaid gig with zero pressure to achieve anything that hes coasting along in now to go to a club with expectations to succeed.
Similairily why on earth would a club the stature of Real with their constant need for success pay good money to a proven failure like Wenger who has managed to win just two domestic cups in 10 years at Arsenal with all the resources and cash hes had at his disposal? The c.unt wouldnt last 5 mins fs.
The only signature i want to see the prick make in January is his own at the bottom of a resignation letter. FUCK OFF.
Look at what a top class manager like Klopp is doing with the shower of shit he inherited at Liverpool. Now imagine what someone like him could do for us if we could get shot of Le Gimp. Scary to think what Klopp's side will look like when he actually makes some additions to it, something I presume he will do unless he finds signing players vulgar like our dickhead does.

TURNIP OUT
If they give Klopp a decent run and chance to build his own team at pool, I can see them winning the prem. The bloke is top draw in his management style looks like we have missed out here.
