THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Overall, I believe that he would be a little bit jaded.
Perhaps lacking a little sharpness.

Was it 2 seasons back when in the middle of yet another injury meltdown Le Gimp said nobody could have predicted that we could suffer so many injuries at the same time. I wonder what his thoughts are now or would Mr. 30 years prefer not to enlighten those of us that have managed zero games.

BOG OFF

The funniest thing about the Coquelin injury news is that he "is expected back in January". Interesting timing. I once remember hearing the same things about Vermaelen (he didn't), Walcott (neither), Wilshere (nor did he) and Welbeck.
Predictably enough, players who we are assured would be back in January, suffer "leetle beet setback" literally the second the transfer window shuts. It's comical just how mediocre this squad is. Worse still, is that with a wage bill of £192m Arsenal are paying higher wages than Bayern
When you see absolute turd-crusts like Campbell, Giroud, Merteslacker et al - players who wouldn't look out of place at Villa - then you know just how ridiculous things are. As someone else said, there's basically 3 quality players, and all were players who were turfed out of their big clubs. Doesn't change how good they are but says plenty about AFC in the market. The lack of ambition is pathetic. The PL is weak as piss this year, Jamie Vardy looking like Batistuta, Citeh defending like clowns, Leicester top etc.
But Wenker has screwed this club, again.
It's unacceptable that this has happened for the 11th successive year but then again, when you have 60,000 fuckwits singing your name as you knock your 4th goal at home to Numeaton Town in the FA Cup quarters, then the same crap will keep happening.
Klopp has been here in a new league less than 2 months and has already battered Chelski and Citeh away by a combined 7-2. And that's taking a squad that Rodgers got tanked by 6-2 at Stoke etc. prescient evidence of how vital a change of manager is.

Give Ancelotti this exact same group of players, or Klopp, and you'll get far better performances, better tactics, and you won't see Arsenal thrashed on big games so regularly. We've been hammered so so many times these past 5-6 years it's beyond a joke.

Still. Let's repeat the same process next summer, then extend Le Tool's contract, it's almost hilarious in a perverse way, watching this mug fail in the exact same way, summer after summer, and seeing the AKBs look retarded season after season as they predict big things - only to end up looking like spunk stains on a satin sheet.

Is all the distasteful personal abuse necessary?

Yes, the personal abuse is absolutely necessary.
If you don't abuse Wenger, you're accused of being a wind up merchant!?!?!?

you can't really argue with the results over the past month.. hopefully he can continue to prove me wrong next month too.
I would like to apologise for my stupidest ever post on here.
I forgot that just as night follows day then a possible Arsenal title challenge crumbles in the month of November.

lets face it - Groundhog Day is here again. It is just so boring now and what makes it worse is that we are going to be struggling to compete with Spurs this season

And nothing will change as long as Le Gimp is in charge. It's so predictable it's almost hilarious watching it all crumble at his feet in the exact same fashion every year whilst we sit on £200mil and a >£190mil wage bill. Come January we'll no doubt be told there's "no one available", and Coq/Wilshere are "on the brink of return". I'm also predicting the recalling of Gedion "Vieira" Zelalem to fill Coq's shoes. We'll then limp to 3rd/4th place in the May wankathon in what is another "successful season". Annual subscriptions i.e. 'Season tickets' in for good old Stan over the summer, rinse and repeat next year. Clowns :banghead:
