This is it lads. Time for Szczesny to step up to the mark and see if he justifies all of those calling for him to be made number 1. A good game tonight could see us have our new number 1 for years to come. A bad game could potentially damage his confidence and who knows how that could play out. Feeling extremely nervous and excited for this game, haven't felt like this in a while!

I don't think he will. Think bentdner but more confident and with the talent to actually back up what he says.

Maybe hes just decided to give WS the no.1 jersey :o :D

He does like dropping his young players in the deep end, doesn't he.

Subs: Fabianski, Fabregas, van Persie, Walcott, Denilson, Djourou, Bendtner

I thought Flappy was injured? Perhaps Wenger realized who's the better keeper? :? 8)

From Opta Joe:

The last Arsenal 'keeper to make his league debut v Man Utd was Stuart Taylor in 3-1 win at Highbury in Nov 2001. Decision.

I know there was talk of a leg injury to fabianski but if there were any fitness doubts keeping him out of the first team then surely he wouldnt have made the bench?

Curious.
