As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

TV's not a leftback!!
But I'd be happy with Samba, Cahill, Kos & TV.
arrrrr boomer me ol chum. TV used to play as left back!

Yes I know....used to, but not anymore.
Keown played left back a few time....but he's not a left back and neither is TV.

Ashley Young's representatives have held talks with Man Utd Why are we not in for this lad?
If we matched United's offer of say £15m, snap him up because he's a gooner so would likely choose us over them, then we can get rid of that waste of space Arshavin for £10m.
I know it's not as easy as football manager, but surely that's not unrealistic this summer. Outlay £5m, get Young in your side instead of Arshavin. Yes please.

Good shout.
Except seeing what prices are being banded about for jones, henderson et al, surely that would make a proven talent like young worth £30 - £40m. I could easily see man citeh offloading milner to pave the way for a crazy bid for young. tis a pity as I like the player, even better now I know he's a gooner.
I am absolutely baffled by our non appearance in the race to sign ashley young He is a guy that would suit wenger's way of playing and knows the english premiership inside out and personally if nasri is insisting on 100k + per week then he should be shipped out and ashley young brought in.
Another knock on wenger's transfer (in)activity is the whole jones saga - the whole of english football knew that the mancs and the mousers were persuing the guy and yet wenger decides at the 11th hour to try and sign him ?? If wenger was so interested in him why not make a bid earlier and show genuine interest ? If he is gonna be 5 step behind his rivals in the transfer market all summer then it could well be an even longer summer than usual

That's what I've been thinking for a few days. The guy can play on either flank and down the middle, has pace, can cross the ball and is used to the physical side of the Premier League. He's even a gooner!! What's not to like?
Mind you, neither you or I have 'worked half a day in football' so what do we know eh?
Strangely, there's lot (and I mean alot) of talk about a £20m deal being done.
on the internet
meanwhile spuds are launching a £35m bid for (insert name of semi-world class player here) source- pravda.com and my mates mate who used to clean the toilets at the lane
