Zurich's ground has a running track round it as well, so also a long way from pitch-side... as does Udinese's Friuli Stadium._James_ wrote:Kazan would be very expensive, plus from Google Earth their pitch has an athletics track round it so the view for away fans is probably not great as at the ends the pitch is miles from the stands. The new stadium which I think is still being built looks much better though.
Yes, my local team is FC Zürich.flash gunner wrote:Isnt Babu's local team FC Zurich? where will your loyalties lay if we draw them Babu?
Honestly if I was 100% sure that Wenger would be sacked if FCZ smashed The Arsenal then of course it's FCZ for me, but in any other situation it's The Arsenal for me.
FCZ don't need the Champions League. They've been in the group stages before a couple of years ago, getting Real Madrid, Marseille and AC Milan, and it was brilliant, it included a 1-0 win in Milan, and three awesome away days, but in reality FCZ are already qualified for the Europa League, and that's enough for them.
Arsenal have to qualify for the CL - because it is imperative that we win it.
Of course I would like to see two good games, and not a complete walk-over,but just FCZ getting one goal at home would make me happy.

Tough love, mate.

I grew up in west ham land, and the weekend before my first day at school my Dad told me I had to chose an English football team. I opened up the paper at the back and looked at the League table. Leeds United were top. It was early 70s.
Right, Leeds United are my team. ( famous last words - almost ).
First day at school. In the playground.
Babu: Hello, I'm new here.
English Schoolboy: What's your name, where do you live, what's your team?
Babu: ( with a strong german accent ) Hello Ja, Mein Name is Babu, I live just up the road there, and I like Leeds United, Ja!
English Schoolboy: SMACK!
first day at school. First time in my new Classroom.
Teacher: Babu, sit there at the front with BT.
Babu: Ja, thank you.
Babu: Hello BT. My name is Babu. What team do you like?
BT: The Arsenal.
Babu: Me too!
And that's how my longest love affair started. Thanks again BT.
Little did I know then that 'BT' was the school psycho, and that everyone else at school was west ham, and there was just me and him ( and two tottenham boys ) who weren't west ham. So we stuck together, the four of us, through thick and thin. We bloody had to!!!
Then came 1975, and west ham winning the cup, and then of course that other final. Bloody hard times!
BUT...long story...the two lads who were tottenham at my school are still my mates, and still tottenham, and we still see each other every year, and this is why I don't hate tottenham as much as I should. They stuck up for me, I stuck up for them. And you never forget that.

Just wondering mate, is your name actually Babu, or is it a nickname? I've never heard of anyone called Babu before?Babu wrote:Hey, I loved it. Really. Made me the man I am today.marcengels wrote:![]()
