Fuck it Im starting a transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Red, do you think we should also sell shezney, vermaelen, sagna, and wilshere as well? :duh:
Do you mean to say that you missed his classic comments about "Chesney being an arrogant moron.......and I hate to say but Almunia has a better record" :D
 LOL when did he say that? i was being sarcastic, but fucking hell Red knows no bounds.
Halfway down page 1 of the CHESNEY ARSENAL LEGEND thread, and he also mentions it about three pages in from the end of the Fulham match thread

Good old Red :barscarf:

Arsenal and Liverpool have been handed a boost in their bid to sign Lukas Podolski after the Cologne and Germany international striker stalled on talks over a new contract at the Bundesliga club.

thats good, but that will only make Wenger sign him in the summer on a free, as opposed to now when we need him badly :banghead:

He will go to the scousers because Chequebook Kenny will will offer him more money

He spent £35m on Andy Carroll so god knows what he think Podolski is worth.

This is the fucking best transfer story of the lot

Arsenal's next defender may herald from the Oman second division, with 24-year-old Saad al-Mukhaini offered a two-day trial this week.
Full story: The Times

"We already have quality, so we only look to add super quality"

I thought some of Red Member's posts yesterday were hilarious but if we manage to find some "super quality" in the Oman 2nd division I will need my sides stitched back together :D

Oman second division........so that must be on a par with what........the Halifax Old Etonian Pub League 2?
If this ends up being true, then Arsenal Football Club have finally died.
Wenger will go down in history alright, as the man who destroyed one of the worlds most famous football clubs. :banghead:

Would such a move be the death of the akb movement as we know it ? Surely even they would find it hard to come up with a defence of such a move ?

Not necessarily. They'd always have the 'he needs time to settle in' and 'we should judge him at the end of next year/18 months/2 years etc, etc,' excuse up their sleeve.

You forgot their no 1 retort: "Arsene has a history of unearthing rough diamonds as he has such an expansive knowledge of world leagues, which includes the Oman 2nd div".
