Not very. Allows him to work on his coaching badges. He can't go straight into coaching without them.
I think it is a good move for him in the short term. He can then focus on getting his coaching badges. I can't see why anyone would have a problem with any ex-player going to work for sky.
Is he actually fussed on doing them?

And he can go straight into coaching, he just can't manage without a Pro Licence (I believe). And even then the PL will waive that if you're an ex-player, they did it for Southgate ffs!

Don't agree there, maybe early on when Henry's striker's nous wasn't fully developed, but after he mastered his craft he was as clinical as they come - no one could pass the ball in the net like him.

Thierry has 4 Golden Boots for a reason, Wright has zilch.
Absolute bollocks. Wrighty won the Golden Boot in his debut season with us, and probably the most famous Golden Boot win in our history - on the final day of the season he scored a hat-trick to snatch it from the jug eared cúnt at the scum. You don't get better than that. 8)

Having watched both players over their careers there is no doubt in my mind that whilst Henry was the better all round footballer, Wrighty was the more clinical striker. And Wrighty did most of it surrounded by average to shit players for a lot of his time with us, whereas Henry had some of the best players in the world around him.

I couldn't choose between Wrighty and Henry, but my all time favorite player is John Terry.

Yup! me and older brother were there...what a day - we got so drunk after the game my brother managed to lose one of his trainers

TH14 has said on numerous occasions that without Bergkamp he would not have scored a significant number of the goals he did score - TH14 rates bergkamp as the best player he has ever played with - Understandably so - They had an almost telepathic understanding...TH14 once said something along the lines of ... I didn't even have to look, he (Bergkamp) would just put the ball at my feet no matter where I was or how many defenders were in the way...

Wrighty was a rare instinctive finisher - when he got the ball the chances of him scoring were greater than his chances of missing - (unlike our present forwards  ) He is just one of those emotional passionate extroverts (on the pitch) and it was that passion and take no shyte and no prisoners part of his game that we loved so much - besides the scoring of amazing and important goals...and made him one of our Legends....

Wrighty for me too, I did feel that TH14 was never quite at his absolute best on the massive matches- cup finals, both club and country. Sure I will be shot down, but just felt a bit deflated that on the top stage it just didnt quite happen. Could have been chance more than bottle of course...

Comparing Wrighty to Th14 is like comparing Marilyn Monroe to Sophia Lauren, both brilliant, and Id have em both in an instant. Feel that Wrighty had more passion, and understands The Arsenal more than TH will ever do, but of course TH14 had the speed and devastation/ threat thats unmatchable since (And according to my misses the sex appeal too   .)

Just cant see TH14 being a good manager, sorry but tis rare for out and out strikers to turn into good managers, Im sure they are around but off the top of my head Im struggling to think of a world class striker (number 9 equivalent) that turned into a manager  . Seems more the realm of former midfielders.

Afraid I rather struggled to understand him in the WC as a pundit, he just didnt have the aura of a manager, certainly not in the way that DB10 has.

I'm a serious fan of TH14 but it is fair to say he bottled every final he played in for us. I'll particularly never forget those two one-on-ones with the whore keeper in Paris. If that had been a PL game at Highbury against Charlton he'd have scored both in a heartbeat. Still love him though and feel privilaged to have seen him so many times in his pomp. Legend. 8)

Absolutely mate, completely adored the guy, which made my disappointment in the finals (WC too) the more really.
