As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Looked at their latest figures on Pravda and found the increased profit from their property dealings interesting as friend who works with camden council tells me that they also own the huge site on Finchley Rd beyond the 02 with the agents board Anthony Green/Spencer attached. Anyone who drives down that way would have seen it. Apparently they have applied for planning permission to develop it.
Probably be some more over priced 1/2 bed flats for overseas landlords, because London is crying out for more of those , but in that location Zone 2 and 5min walk from Finchley Road tube, they will make a killing.
It would be nice to think a good chunk of that would be ploughed into getting more of the calibre of Ozil and not just for Stan's bank balance and knock-off sh*te like Forehead and fat Andy Santos aka Speed Racer
And whilst we have shed some garbage off the wage bill this year many of those were out on loan last season, and with the full effect of the contract extensions given to Ramsey, Walcott, Jenkinson, Gibbs, Wilshere and Chamberlain and Ozil's deal expect that to have risen again in a year's time.
Not that I'm complaining about quality players pushing our wage bill up - but even if we're offloading shit players our wage bill is still going to continue to be higher than it should be until this retarded 'socialist policy' stops.
Arsenal's Stan Kroenke desperate for Arsene Wenger to stay on as their manager
Yeah, I fucking bet
There seems to have been a lot of spin & PR from the club in the past month or so trying to big up Kroenke, improve his reputation with fans. His name was mentioned something like 5 times in the official Ozil announcement, as if he was somehow responsible for it all. Do me a favour, as if he even knew who Mesut Ozil was a week before we signed him.
"I enjoy talking with him, he is a very interesting guy. He has an absolute view on how he runs that team and the club. He has earned that right.
"Don’t look for me to interfere with that. I have learnt over the years that sometimes owners try do that and it is not so good.
"Guys who try to say that we should push Arsene harder to spend and so on, that’s fair enough, there’s always lots of opinions, but Arsene is an independent thinker, planner, works very hard at it, has a wonderful record and history."
Arsene runs the whole club and nothing is going to change it.
Reading the interviews and listening to him on the radio, I have come to the conclusion that John Cross has his tongue so far up Kroenke's arse he could probably tell us what type of hair product the American puts on his wig!!
That John Cross has no shame. He is supposed to be a journalist yet you will get more balance from Pravda.com.He is the Wenger arselicker in chief. Now he is letting Stan take him from behind. He might as well be employed by the club
He says Kroenke has taken nothing out of any of his clubs failing to say he has not put a penny into Arsenal. He didnt buy Ozil the fans did
All I can hope and pray for is that no new contract is signed before end of next march - I know that the pro wenker movement are all walking around with constant boners such is their excitement of all thinks AFC at the mo, but after a while we will start to play the better teams in the league, in the champs league and now the league cup and when the defeats (and more importantly the poor performances) start coming to the fore again you will notice a huge drop off in the calls for a new contract for the senile old c***

It's the predictability that gets me. We have a good first 11. Not great, but good. But we will fall by the wayside again this season because Arsene failed again to strengthen the squad (not just the team) where it needed it most. Injuries and loss of form will again come into play and again we will be out of everything by March. Again. Groundhog season.

Precisely what is wrong -the owner concedes that Wenker runs the club, the whole fucking club !!!
He is an employee, who should be brought into line if he is not achieving but he runs the club, so unless he has conversations with himself in the mirror, it ain't going to happen
It is a typical Arsenal move, for silent stan to mention Wenger signing a new contract, when we are on a good run, but as per usual, when we slide down into the virtual trophy battle, silent stan will keep his mouth shut.

But come May when we scrape 4th we'll hear about how this summer will definitely be different, Wenger will realise the mistakes he made last summer and Ozil signifies our future policy. Considering how the fundamental criticism of anti-Wengerites is generally that they lack perspective and are impatient, the number of people who expressed serious reservations about a new deal for him after the Villa game but now want him to sign for life again is undoubtedly massive.
