A very good day for british olympians then, just a shame sturridge decided to be a cocky idiot with his pen. Well done Mo, Jess, and the ginger lad that looks a bit like Dave Kitson. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

EDIT: Have just found out the ginger lads name is Greg Rutherford, is a gooner and his great-grandad played for us via SheWore on twitter. Top Man, still looks a bit like Dave Kitson though.

His grandfather also played for us, was on the books same time as the great-grandfather.

Absolutely brilliant day. Men's fours is always the big one on the lake and nice to get some revenge on the Aussies, the two girls were fantastic and gutted for the mens pair but looking at Redgrave carrying them both out of their boat you couldn't fault them at all. Track cycling continues to be completely dominated by GB.

Extremely pleased for Ennis, she was probably under the most pressure of all GB athletes and responded magnificently. Farah has always been up and down but can now rebut future criticism by pointing to his gold medal (great last lap), and Rutherford smashing all expectations to win gold is the kind of stories the Olympics is about (my favourite memory is still the men's 4x100m somehow edging out the USA in Athens).

To top it off, 'Team GB' football are out as well. Fantastic day.

Remember how Eboue used to always leech onto the celebrations, in that cringeworthy manner, every time someone other than him scored? And you wanted to say to him "Manu, stop it. You're embarassing yourself!"

This reminds me of that

Cheers for the link, good to see the gooners getting the golds.

100m final today then, I think bolt will win but wouldn't be shocked if blake won, blake was quicker in the 1st heat and both the Americans have run under 10.00 too, I don't think bolt will be celebrating before he crosses the line this time!

Yeah, it's incredible how the British public have embraced the Olympics. Every event has seen such great support.

16 golds, 9 silvers, 9 bronze and 3rd on the medal table so far is a great return! :unionjack:

Apparently Wenger & the Board have """"Invited"""""" Greg Rutherford and Mo Farah to display their Gold Medals in the Arsenal Trophy cabinet...seeing as they are Gooners and all you know...
