Not just about affording one (the answer would be no), what big name would want to come manage Wales? But as I've said Verheijen should have been appointing, he was the underlying reason for success under Speed.
As I've said it's hardly going to do wonders for his confidence but then neither is taking the flak for a bunch of Championship players (at best!) getting battered around Europe from fans with expectancy levels that have been inflated beyond reality by the previous regime.
Losing the captaincy might actually help out young Aaron. In the space of a couple of years he's suffered a fucking awful injury, come back into the side with a mixed impact, be named captain of his country and lost his mentor at Wales.
He could do without the hassle of captaining a sinking ship. Wish they'd given it to Monkey Boy instead.
I don't really see it as a demotion as much as I do just reducing the amount on his plate. Lot of game time at Arsenal and being the captain of a country's who's football program is struggling - especially harsh after the successes by the recently departed Gary Speed - is a lot to ask of a young guy.

just like i said earlier in the thread and then got flamed by everyone. aaron ramsey simply is the biggest detriment in this squad of players (starting 11 + bench). he is more hurtful to the team than helpful by far. he completely changes the way we play football when he on the pitch. we attack SO SLOWLY when he is out there that we become entirely too predictable and stale ala Norwich. I HAVE SEEN HIM WEAKEN THIS TEAM FOR 2 YEARS LIKE THIS, and then pointing it out, but for some reason everyone keeps on giving him the benefit of the doubt, telling me i dont know what i'm talking about. okay i guess we'll just keep seeing then.
Yes I know Gervinho is bad, but he at least contributes something, sometimes. Fact is, when ramsey isnt in the team we are MUCH better than we are with him in it.
I bet on Arsenal games with my mate frequently, as he supports Chelsea. he knows to never ask me to bet on Arsenal winning if Ramsey is in the starting 11 because I'll never take it.

Whether he is from Tarrytown or Timbuktu he can have a valid opinion but have to say I agree there are many worse than Ramsey, and you can add Eastmond to that list.
Quartz, he lives 4000 miles from Highbury and says Ramsey is the worst player in the squad, which suggests he doesn't know much about the others! Therefore his opinion cannot be valid.

I still maintain that going to games gives you a better vantage point because you can see how the players line up in relation to each other, then you can watch close ups and replays on TV/Internet when you get home.
I also maintain that living in London having grown up here, means you will probably have one or two mates who know players, or someone who works for the club, and you can get a bit of inside chit chat.
But so many players come from overseas that living in Paris or Yamoussoukro could be very useful for knowing what goes on at the club.
And to be honest, tons of people on this Forum from London only get to about one game a season!
