I can see Gibbs as a good choice left midfield, but I am desperate for Baines to be signed at left back.
We should spend big cash to get him.
Re : Baines

He's 28 Quartz and the papers are talking about £15m fee, can't see Wenger sanctioning that sort of outlay as there'll be no 're-sale value'.

He would be a very good acquisition though.

So true :banghead: arsole is an arsole  :banghead: resale value shouldnt come into the equation when you're a big club but unfortunately we all know how our board think ala transfers  buy em young and develop them..sell the good ones usually with their best years infront of them :banghead: and hold onto the shite..not through choice though :banghead: cos we cant get rid of the *word censored* on the wages arsole has given them :banghead:
Arsole knows though :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Tbh I only watched bits off the second half cos we were entertaining some of the wife's family and the first half was so poor it made it easier for me to be a better host by actually paying some attention to our guests for a change

Wally's hat-trick will grab all the headlines but for me his superb cross for giroud's diving header was the high point of the game 8) In some ways this game summed up walnut perfectly.....some great moments mixed in with some poor decision making (mostly when choosing and delivering his passes) although today was def one of his best games. Of course it shouldn't be ignored that this was against a team lying just 3pts off relegation zone and who only had 1 fit centre back but we haven't had many highs of late so we will take them where we can get them 8) Am particularly delighted for the c**tbag pardew who deserves a good kicking every fcuking day

Concerns from today def include Gibbs whose reckless positioning reminded all of us why we still need a top left full. My main man sagna wasn't in top form today either and cazorla played like a guy who is usually on a relaxing holiday at this time every year. It goes without saying that we were diabolical on defending set pieces again and I am shocked that we didn't concede from any of them  Really and truly we looked very vunerable every time they attacked

Lastly I will say that this is the game that will absolutely convince wenger that he does not need to purchase next month - he has been very lucky that right before the transfer window opens he has had a run of games against teams fighting relegation (Wigan, reading, Geordies and Southampton) and this will ease the pressure to buy. Demba Ba def showed what a good finisher he is and if he hadn't those dodgy knees then every top club would be after him

The scary thing is the difference between this game and the one the barcodes played against manure last week. The defending all over for that game was just as awful for both teams.

It pisses me off that the difference between them and 7th/8th is the player we gifted them.( for the money they will make from merchandising with the rapist and winning the league £24million is a gift).

I would not trust Ba's knees with our medical team.

I am not a huge fan of Walnutt but think he's done ok upfront when the right ball's been played to him. His decision making's still suspect but we all know we'll not spend the money on someone decent so might as well keep what little we have.

Just landed.

Worst 3 1/2 hours ever.

Glad to see we won well.

Walcott has shown these flashes before . I want goals against united, bayern , city, stoke etc to convince me.

Back four still look uncoached

Pod and giroud turni g into superb supporting players IMHO.

If we let walnut go any buy a class forward ill shed no tears.

I still have faith in these players, AW has kept this line up due to fan pressure, no other reason . Him fieldi g an unchanged team three times is unheard of.

Still not convinced me.

Biggest moron sat two rows behind me today. Now I'm not Walcott's biggest fan and I know not too many on here are, but this bloke was fucking relentless from the first whistle. I'm not talking about complaining about Walcott's usual frustration, this bloke shouted out "Fucking move Walcott" every time a midfielder would pick up the ball (often with their back to goal), usually followed up by "Fuck off to Liverpool then". It grew tiresome extremely quickly. He kept this up for 90 minutes until after Feo scored his third at which point he was inexplicably leading the Feo Feo Feo Feo and "sign him up" chants.

He also gave Giroud the same ridiculous abuse for not showing sufficient movement when Szczesny rolled the ball out to defenders and proclaiming how fucking shit he was and calling him a prick. Needless to say he shut up when Walcott put that cross straight on his head to make it 5-3 and even more so after Giroud bagged again, although when he was the width of the bar away from getting a hat-trick off the bench he did proudly proclaim "see, told you he's fucking shit".

On another note it surprised me how many people at 3-3 after 60-odd minutes were demanding attacking change saying things weren't working. We'd scored 3 goals in an hour, it's not the attackers' fault we need to score 4+ to win a home game!

Would have been nice had Gibbs spun round before the 3rd goal and realised that Demba Ba was behind him instead of lazily shepherding the ball straight to him...
