You might CHOOSE to take it the wrong way because of the end of spectrum from which you come. It's more a sub conscious choice. It's your general position.Bendtners Drinking Buddy wrote:Why would i CHOOSE to take it the wrong way? Like i said, the views ive seen in the pubs and with fellow fans in the stands is that the article was at best provocative and at worst an absolte shambles that made the fanzine look unintelligent, misinformed and a voice for pure idiocy...which we all know isnt the case.
He is the Ed, he can write what he wants at the end of the day and as ive said, overall i think he does a great job, but in my opinion that article was a big mistake - and the issues it has caused on twitter, and on here, prove that it wast just a normal article, it was in the opinion of me and many other fans - a big mistake. Everybody is entitled to their views, but as a fanzine there needs to be an ability to stand back and take heed of the wider ramifications of what is published.) on twitter.
I'll leave it there, because I think you (and perhaps others) have taken. or chosen to take, the article in the wrong way so it's pointless me carrying on with this.
And I was buying fanzines 25 years ago, so I know what they stand for.
Like it or not, the article has proved to be a contentious issue, which i think proves there is validity of debate - you say im wide of the mark...why? Can you not see why some might bring this article up if things get violent again? I was disgusted what I saw at Brighton, kids everywhere, and i really hope I dont see it again - a popular fanzine should be speaking out against it. I did not bring Villa into it - the author did.
We are clearly at diff ends of the spectrum here, no point dragging it out further, all i know is, the Gooner has lost a lot of respect from those ive spoken too (both for and against Wenger) since its publication and a clarification would go a long way, i think, in mitigating any further idiotic behaviour in the future.
Anyway, game time now and im sure we both want the right result, come on you reds

Fanzines....you brought this up and what they should do. I was highlighting that I was around when when fanzines first came around and they had no editorial duty...just a duty to present the fans (in reality their own) point of view.
Villa - You argued that it was distasteful - therefore I was responding to your remarks. I'm not sure what the issue is, I know you didn't initially raise this so![]()
Look, the point is that people are responsible for their own actions and anyone who uses the article as something to hang round the neck of the ed should something happen, and need to take a look at themselves first.

100% agreed. He is slipping as a keeper through no competition and no one better than him to learn from.donaldo wrote:No one is saying Mannone is good augie.Szczesny should be back up to a quality keeper.augie wrote:I know that chesney is playing shit but ffs mannone is a million times worse
I think that Giroud had six chances of scoring and two opportunities to square the ball into the box for a clear shot at goal. Thought he was pants myself.DB10GOONER wrote:100% agreed. Thought Giroud did ok, lot's of effort, some nice one-two's, won a lot in the air (but of course no one beside him to benefit because Wenger doesn't do 4-4-2!!), unlucky not to score. But ultimately, he is not the type of striker to play up front alone. He's not good enough for that role. He can win the ball in the air and lay it off nicely, but we should have Podolski in there with him to get any real benefit out of Giroud.
Thought Jenko was good, and still reckon if he got a good run of games he'd be great for us. Also, he is the ONLY player at the club that can actually whip in a decent cross exactly where you'd want it 9 times out of 10.
Cazorla took both goals really well and love the fact he isn't afraid to shoot - he's almost the Anti-Hleb!![]()

We made an easy win against shit look hard. But a win is a win. Everton losing is a massive bonus. If only the Murderers can do us a favour against the Vermin tonight.
That is fucking embarrassing, 3 fucking players obviously not giving a flying fuck.mcdowell42 wrote:https://twitter.com/mattyjc74/status/30 ... 21/photo/1
