DORTMUND CL GAME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

fairplay to the team and Wenger - that's quite the result.

they must feel we robbed them a bit, but we felt that about the opposite fixture.

if we play like that Saturday, we have to get a result. it just shows that patience, discipline and organisation pay off in Europe if you have a solid defence protected by a hard working midfield and one or two World Class players like Ozil and Ramsey (12 goals in 19 games now...).

that feels so much better than getting tonked 4-0 in Milan.

Maybe after the chavs loss AW has finally learned something.

Proud of the lads tonight. Shows that we are able to learn and adapt. Sometimes felt a little suspect, and we got lucky too. But everyone put a shift in, work rate was fantastic. Can't argue with the performance and the achievement. :barscarf:

Without counting chickens yet, am I right in thinking that if we beat Marseilles at home, we're through as Napoli and Dortmund both can't win against each other?

Yeah, also I think if we draw and Dortmund lose (unlikely) then we go through as well.

Sounds alright. Win the next one and then pressure is off in Naples.

what if dortmund beat napoli and napoli beat us and Dortmund beat Marseille ? - by my maths we need a win against Marseille and a point to deny napoli 3 points.

I also had great satisfaction watching our players doing what we have done to us usually,The niggling fouls and the blatant time wasting, keeping the ball in the corner frustrating the opposition....maybe they are finally growing up and killing games.
