Home game against Palace - Season Opener 2014 - 2015

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

It is easy to see that the mid-fielders have No Confidence in sanogo, every time he manges to find space they ignore him...and so as such we have No Striker.

Anyone that thinks we can challenge for the title with this squad is deluded.

Sanogo playing for the Arsenal on the opening day of the season, how the club have fallen!

Still a world class keeper, centre back, DM and striker away from winning it (as usual).

This is as bad as I can remember us playing creatively. Haven't even had half-chances that have been blocked, saved or gone wide.

Of course it doesn't help that we then waste a sub because of fibreglass Gibbs.

Lee Lee Dixon on jack - "wilshire spends too long on the ball, he invites tackles, thats why he gets so many injuries...he doesn't release it quick enough..."

TFFT ! OX.

we'll win 3-1 now.

this is the team we should of started with.

Can we bring on shad Forsyth ? I hear he is going to make a real difference to our title chances this season  Truth be told he would probably be a better striker than le postman

Sanogo is getting a hard time - he is an enigma but it should be noted he is very raw and playing on your own up top against 7 defenders is hard enough but when you don't have any real experience of it and learning as a player at this level it's not easy.

I'm not saying he is good enough , but it was a tough day for him today

That's one word you can use to describe him - not sure it's the right word though

sanchez is running out of steam i think.

sanogo should play as front of two. not up on his own.

I guess Nou Camp has wider pitch, since Sanchez crosses are way over...
