That's the thing though OBG in reality how many out and out no9's have to track back, if the team is set correctly they shouldn't need to that much.

Would much rather see Podolski start games instead of Cazorla, which would also give Alexis or Chamberlain, who was excellent today, the opportunity to play in the middle.

Brilliant result and a decent performance.
Lots of positives and team will be in good spirits for the Geordies.

Love us to get Monaco in the last 16; we're due a little luck in the draw.

Joel has potential but it's hard to show it without a consistent run in the team

Impressive performance. Nothing of significance to moan about and especially satisfying to batter these untermenschen.

And bindippers out. :D
I don't buy into the Podolski myth. Don't this he's all that. However. How the fuck he doesn't start ahead of Giroud "let's miss an empty net at Stoke" or Danny "I don't score in proper games" Welbeck is a sign of how Wenker let's his personal bullshit vendettas get in the way of team success. It's a farce.

If Real, Barca or Bayern are drawn on Monday, it could be a cricket score.

They could also provide him with the half- chances he needs...Mind you what do any of us know - I mean I've only been supporting The Arsenal 47 years now - so what could I possibly know!?

PODOLSKI IN - WENGER OUT! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Who cares? Judge Wenger in May not on individual results.

The Podolski situation is a joke. He isn't a great player, but he is miles ahead of Sanogoal, and has one of the fiercest left foots in Europe. It will be sad to see Podolski leave, especially when Sanogoal is persisted with, until we quietly see him pushed out the door, similar to Gervinho.

Yes indeed we judged him in May of 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and he was found to be a Success in failure each time. But it made no difference the *word censored* was still given new contracts and a huge wage increase - while they put up ST prices and told us Everything was alright ...
