Arsenal on edge as Deschamps rules Diaby out of France action with muscle injury
Arsenal's early season optimism has taken a blow after Abou Diaby was ruled out of action through injury.
The France midfielder had been one of the stars of the Gunners' solid start to the season, and backed that up with a match-winning performance in his country's opening World Cup qualifier against Finland.
But now it seems the apparent fragile state of his body has struck again, with Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps revealing a muscular concern means the 26-year-old will miss Tuesday's qualifier at home to Belarus.
The manager said: 'Diaby took a bad shot and he has muscular discomfort. He is not free in his movements.'
The news will come as a blow to the club, who had hoped a strict pre-season regime had finally put pay to years of injury following a career threatening injury in 2006.
Arsene Wenger is a big fan of his countryman and was as delighted as anybody with the start Diaby made to the season, helping the club to a win and two draws without conceding a goal.
There was, however, a ray of light for Arsenal with summer signing Olivier Giroud given the all clear by Deschamps to play in Tuesday's match.
He added: 'He could play. He trained normally. We can ask questions on pace for 90 minutes.'
++++
.... and so it begins... (again)

I'm sorry, and dont tell steve o this, but my first reaction was to laugh
Am thinking that it is probably only a small injury anyway but at the same time it wouldnt exactly be a shock either way would it ? I aint willing to believe in him again after just 1 or 2 good games (he was shite v mackems
) and am not willing to just ignore his constant injuries, his lack of brains and his fondness for wearing scum jerseys at home just yet either

am i allowed to think he's faking..
Re: Diaby
Injury prone players......truly injury prone, will always likely be injured. There have been a few over the years, Franny Jeffers and Kieron Dyer are a couple that come to mind. Diaby is in this bracket I believe and is unlikely to be fit for a full season. RVP got a lot of injuries but he managed blocks of games in between. I wonder if Diaby has ever played 6 games in a row for us?

Re: Diaby
TBH I would be amazed if this doesn't develop into about 3 months out... again...
And this is my major misgiving about Diaby. He is injury prone. And made of glass.

FFS

I hope its nothing but if it turns into a long term injury we HAVE to bomb him out of the squad, you cant have a player that will give you 1 outstanding game every 3 months

Re: Diaby
Have to agree with Flash. There is undoubtedly talent there but we are not benefitting nearly enough from it to justify his wages tbh. If this one develops into the usual 3 to 6 months out with fucking niggle this, niggle that, then that's it for me, he should be released.

Re: Diaby
You know the bit on this thread when I said there were people out there wanting him to fail..........augie wrote:I'm sorry, and dont tell steve o this, but my first reaction was to laugh![]()

Re: Diaby
This is it in a Nutshell (im in a nutshell let me out)
If Diaby continues the form he has shown in the first few games because finally his Injury problems have been solved then we gain a great player.
If he gets injured again then most people did not expect him to amount to much anyway.
