Personally I don't like smoking and think that it is a dirty disgusting and dangerous habit BUT I am still thinking that we as fans are slightly over-reacting here. I do understand Granada joe's suggestion about reduced lung capacity but surely a pro athlete would be doing enough aerobic training to compensate for this ? As a fan I feel that, if having the odd ciggie here and there is as bad as his off field behaviour gets, then I can live with that.

Don't know if he's " overrated" so much as maybe expectations for him are too high? I love jacky boy and think he's a wonderful prospect, but for me, right now he's not in the first 11.
Right now for me jacks on the bench. But who knows? He may do a Ramsey and come storming through and cement a starting place. Gret to have a player like jack on our books. All the kids love him and he's a genuine good (if a bit dim at times) lad.

But whatever - smoking is totally out of the question and needs to be stamped out feckin right now!

Underrated, overrated. What a load of old bollocks. There's not even a consensus on this forum, so who gives a shit what people who don't watch him every week think.

I don't overrated him, and Sid certainly doesn't.... so who does? and does it really matter?

He's just a talented young player fighting his way back from long term injury and clearly struggling. Bit like Ramsey last season. People need to be more patient and understanding.
