The January "He Looks Quite Good" Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This 90m offer is all talk, we might have put a bid in but we know full well that he won't join us. It's yet another act so that the club can turn round yet again in a month's time and say, we tried but clubs don't want to sell. We won't put another offer in, we'll bid 50m for someone shit and then buy some usual fucking nobody for 20m who won't play. It will be another complete failure of a summer. Quite frankly, if he couldn't get his act together and get anyone decent over the last few years, why will he now when we're in the UEFA cup? It's juts not going to happen and realistically, it's because he's a shit manager, the club is directionless, the players are shit and the fans hate him.
All true. Sadly. :(

:rubchin: It would be very amusing if they called Arsenes bluff and accepted the offer  - Bet Kylian Mbappe would then fail his medical- anything to avoid paying decent money for a decent player

Arsenal would never put anything like an £87m bid in for anyone or anything!

Adding Mbappe to our ever impressive virtual 11 - new chant and all.

To the tune of Blame it on the Boogie -

We nearly signed Messi
We nearly signed Ronaldo
We nearly signed Ibra
We nearly signed Mbappe

We nearly signed Mahrez
We nearly signed Kante
We nearly signed Vardy
We nearly signed Mbappe

We nearly signed Suarez
We nearly signed Ya Ya
We nearly signed Higuain
We nearly signed Mbappe

:barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

(and yes I have been drinking)

I know it's how modern football is nowadays, but I find spending £87m on a footballer really turns my stomach.

No mate. He's changed career and colour to forge a new career.

In addition, for old time's sake, Salomon Kalou is still towing his arse around Hertha Berlin's forward line.

Wenger saying today, how much he rates Mahrez..."we may put in a bid for him"

Strange to do business by first alerting everybody you are after a certain player.... :D

Transfer dealings seem no different to previous years disasters......

AFC have denied making any bid whatsoever for Mbappe......stopped just short of admitting that we are not in the market for actual TOP TOP Quality players!! We are after 'TIP TAP Kwalitee' players, available for 30-40m whose true value is nothing more than 15m......step forward Mr Mahrez, how would you like to earn 120k a week son? :barscarf:

Our transfer team of Dick Law, Dick 'Ead and Dick Less will have us sorted in no time!! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

I believe that this transfer is already done, and we are just waiting to get the necessary credit...by selling Sanchez to Bayern.
It really does seem that we are "swapping" Mahrez for Sanchez. £50m has been quoted by Leicester, and £50m for Sanchez.

I'm sure they'll spin it by not releasing the transfer fees, etc, but...

That means there will probably be 2 more Xhaka/Mustafi signings coming, and then a couple of young hopefuls.

I hope I am 100% wrong.
