KROENKE OUT / The Board / Staff etc (merged thread)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yes some of that video makes total sense and some good points.

The socialist wage bill imo unless we can start bringing a few young players through as well we are pretty fucked maybe Mavrapanos,ESR,Saka and Nelson might make it really not sure about any of our other young players.

As for the owner ALL his sporting 'investments' are bang average except LA Rams who after years of mediocre showings are in the playoffs and won last night.Stan of course was there I doubt us getting beat even registered with him.

Oh and my experience of USA sporting mindset with most owners if a team has say a 9-7 record in the NFL they view it as a 'winning' season. The NFL plays a 16 game season.Same for Baseball,Basketball,Ice Hockey regarding win loss records.

Our 12-5-5 record at present would be viewed as a 'winning' season so far and 6th place very respectable,6th richest club in world football awful.

USA owners Liverpool under Fenway have been an exception to the rule Gillette and Hicks before hounded out of the club.

Glazers have saddled United with massive debt.Villa under Lerner,Short at Sunderland all have ran their stewardship of those clubs badly as wouldn't have a clue how to run a football club, just because they are successful businessmen doesn't cross over to football clubs.

Doesn't look good does it.

No it doesn't. Saw a clip on SSN of Kronke standing pitchside with an NFL player before a game yesterday (I think) . Can't imagine him standing pitchside with an Arsenal player before a game. Having said that I'm not sure we have proper "Arsenal players " anymore.

This is a worthwhile watch.

I wouldn't call it a rant exactly, more a reasoned opinion.

That's a terrifying watch - we've covered all the crappy signings and cheap sell offs that the guy mentions on here numerous times but hearing them listed is sickening. The price comparison between Mustafi costing the same at time of purchase as Alderweireld and Van Dyke combined is a fucking sobering fact. As covered on here before TOF took his own contract very seriously and gave not two fucks about how he handled the club's money - thanks wenker you old cu.nt. I'm still waiting for the press to wake up to this and call him out on it. Useless bastards.

Seems like the right time to revive this thread although it needs a new title now given that we really are a one man show.

The wiggy Cu.nt? Fuck off Kroenke? Something catchy like that should do the trick.

#thewiggycu.ntisgoingtokillourclub

Renamed as requested. Was very tempted to go with "#thewiggycu.ntisgoingtokillourclub"  but then some cùnt would just start a new Wiggy / board thread.....

Some of his comments on that piece are ridiculous -

"Denis Suarez, Ever Banega, and Yannick Carrasco have the odor of Emery as I can’t imagine for one moment Sven would be pushing for journeyman hacks lost in their careers".

Fair enough banega is 30 years old, but the other two are 25 years old and he calls them journeyman hacks ??

Re mislintat he added

"It’s probably not difficult to be unimpressed with some of his early signings.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but havent sokratis and auba been 2 of our top performers this season ? Granted mikki has been utter dogshite, but to have a 66% success rate in transfer business is very good work imo

Lastly he refers to dick when he says

"My big concern is that we’re heading into an incredibly important summer with Emery being the only true footballing man at the club. His record at PSG for picking players was less than impressive,"

Is there anybody, and I mean anybody, that believes that the player purchases at psg was down to emery ? In most european clubs the players are bought above the manager and then given to the manager to integrate into the team - in a "boutique club" like psg where it is all about buying star names, you can be damn sure that the manager has fcuk all say

His opinions aren't the best and he doesn't like Emery, so any chance to bash him, he will do. Emery may have had influence into transfers, but certainly wouldn't be responsible at PSG - I think that they have a Football Director there for that.

That being said, I don't really see that losing Mislintat is a big loss that people will think.

This has been covered on the Emery thread. Doesn't need it's own thread. The same stuff will be said. Merging it.

It's got nothing to do with the Emery thread.
