Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The crowd sang "let's all do the Mertazacker" and then in unison they all ducked down....Then some spoilsport ruined their fun by pointing out their song didn't scan..

A forward goes 1102 days (27 games) without scoring a goal for his country, and when he finally breaks his duck the newspapers are lauding his maturity and ABILITY (I have that level of ability myself ffs)

In other news the Welsh Under 12s beat the Roy Keane Horror Roadshow XI in Dublin.

Best part of it was as I traversed cliched tourist area Temple Bar yesterday the obligatory huge gathering of pissed up Welsh boyos were singling that great old and original ditty "we hate the Ingerlish more than you" last heard every single time the Scots play here....

Top marks to the bunch of pissed up Oirish lads that retorted with "we don't care we don't care we don't caaaaarrre". 8)

Seemed to be lots of Welsh over considering it's views by most as a Mickey Mouse tournament..Watched France v Germany and Spain v England the previous night and both games were very watchable, much better than the substitute ridden friendlies. France did make a significant substitution at half time when they took off Manchester United's Paul Pogba and replaced him with France's Paul Pogba..
Oireland's situation is getting worse in parallel to Keane getting quieter. O'Neill is almost Wenger like in his summarising of games. Certainly nothing is his fault. Thought his response to Denmark's player Delaney's comments on primitive football were childish.

Fuck me Ireland were appalling. Wales without Bale and Ramsey are a mid-table Championship side. They were pinging the ball about for fun yesterday and cut Ireland apart a few times in the second half.

Ireland by contrast resorted to kicking the shit out of a bunch of kids and sticking defenders up front. If you can’t get that right against a team as poor as Wales yesterday, it’s worrying that you would even employ that tactic.

Ireland haven’t had a particularly good team for a long time, but are always there or thereabouts in the mix for the playoffs because they have enough know-how and a knack of not losing to shit teams whilst picking up enough decent wins at home. Looking at the last four games you have to question whether that has gone for good under those two.

Hate to burst your bubble mate but Wales with Bale and Ramsey are a mid-table Championship side.

Oireland on the other hand are currently a non league Sunday pub team managed by a bitter old dinosaur whose previous claim to fame was avoiding relegation a couple of times with Leicester, winning the shit cup and winning some pointless trophies in the two horse race of Scottish football, now assisted by an absolute arsehole with a chip on both of his shoulders.

Still at least neither of them rode their brother's wife. That we know of anyway.
