great just what we need - another french player who can't get in their national team who will be expected to replace RVP.

What are we actually aiming for next season - a top 10 finish?

Love it, lad hasn't even signed yet and were slagging him off! He better score a hattrick on his debut othwise he could be in for a famous 'emirates booing'

Err mate, he's the French league's top goalscorer last season. The only reason he's not in the starting XI is because of Benzema and Nasri (C**t) also being in the team.

I'll be honest, Wenger's cheering me up at the moment. Bought Podolski, now Giroud. Hopefully he isn't finished yet, then it's just sorting out the tactics.

I'm quietly optimistic at the mo' :barscarf:

Always make me cringe when people moan about the French league when.most would have wanted to sign Hazard.

Re Giroid, I guess its easy to compare him to Chamakh but the thing to remember is that Wingers refused to.pay a penny for Chamakh but he's paid a big fee for Giroid.

That's a clue right there, Adebayor did ok plucked out of the French league and Drogba didn't do too bad either, at least the club are going about their business the right way this year by getting the players in early.

It would be rather ridiculous to compare him to Chamakah. The boy should be judged on his own merits.

Welcome to The Arsenal. 2 goalscorers purchased, fingers crossed M'Villa is to follow!

Hopefully. But now ive heard the flamster is going on a free a part of me thinks that wenger will plump for him instead of mvilla, as we all know how he loves a freebie.

Welcome back from holiday Red. Did Butlins get bored with you? :rubchin:
Seriously though, give the bloke a chance mate. Perhaps, after a season you might like to judge him and his performances then?
In the meantime, try to find some positives from the imminent signing, and along with Podolski AND RvP, we might find Wenger trying something new this coming season?
