So let's get this straight. You only sign a player who improves the squad? Yep I think we're all agreed with him on that on that one. So we're to believe that there is nobody out there who can improve our forward line??

The difference with us is our targets have to be 'available' to the point of being surplus to requirements by their current club.
We rarely (if at all) hustle players, I don't mean tap up, just make an offer out of the blue.
The only exception was Suarez when we made a derisory offer, followed by an insulting one.
The other big clubs have a long history of unsettling players, players they indentify, target, and eventually get them.
What we need to do is flex our muscles, make a decent bid for Lallana, see what happens. He has not a prayer of winning anything a St Mary's, so lets test the water. Saying that, it should have been done 2 or 3 weeks ago, now Saints will just tough it out.
