Would be amazing if we can go into the last 16 stage with our manager having signed a new long-term contract...........
that's a piss take yeah??id love us to be in the last 16 with a decent manager at the helm, one who can guide us all the way cos Wenker aint ever gonna do it or haven't you realised it yet
He's too stubborn, too loyal to players........but you'd think we've been battling relegation the last 10 years.

Maybe we should have sacked him two years back, got Van Gaal in, given him £250m to spend. Happy days......
That would have been much better wouldn't it........

Plenty of positives from tonights performance, then we have one of the most ridiculous posts I have ever read on here. :|
Wenger should have been sacked or resigned many, many times over the last decade. We both know that.
Van Gaal has got absolutely nothing to do with Wengers failures, Arsenal or anything. What a stupid post. :|

8-2, 6-0, 5-1, just a few examples of the humiliations suffered in the last few years under Wenger. Add to that 9 years without a trophy, until 2014, and what about our great European record which consists of 5 last 16 defeats in a row. At any other club with actual ambition, Wenger would have been gone long ago.

Yes I know mate, but that post mentioning Van Gaal broke new grounds in terms of stupidity, or indeed desperation.
Essentially we must keep enduring Wengers failure indefinitely because, well because Van Gaal hasnt won anything at United after less than two seasons. Wtf?

5 minutes after the full time whistle went last night he tried to stir shit by bringing up the Blackburn and Bradford defeats. Ignore the WUM

Anybody who has been around for the last 5 years will realise it's job done for Wenger for the season. The CL target has been reached, any further advancement is not required but would probably earn him a MASSIVE bonus. His next job is to finish in the top 4. An FA cup win would be nice as it would shut the ungrateful fans up but is DEFINITELY not a requirement. No, just concentrate on that 4th spot and we can finish the season, pockets stuffed full of cash, then rinse,repeat,rinse............. Excuses already there for the start of next season as the players have come back from the Euro's a leeeetle bit jaded. If it wasn't so infuriating, it would be funny.

Wenger on Sky this morning saying this might be our lucky year in the CL??? How would you win this difficult competition through luck?? And Walcott after sweeping aside the mighty, previously unbeaten, 5 time CL winners, Olympiacos, is now saying that after seeing that, Wolfsburg, Zenit, Real, Barca....... would all want to avoid Arsenal. The delusions run very, very deep at the club. When Wenger finally drags his sorry arse out the door there are a dozen players who need to follow him.Arteta,Mertesacker,Giroud,Ramsey, Walcott, Campbell.....that's just for starters

Why is he a wum :?

He defends his own corner against 95% of posters on here and I think he does it well and takes a lot of stick and unfairly imo.

Some might call you a wum Augie cos you are negative in the extreme and having a quick look through last nights match thread I could easily come to the conclusion that a lot of the "well done Arsenal" comments were indeed faint praise

Everyone on here has their own agenda and when results don't go their way then their they feel a need to back up their argument, a lot on here want us to lose because that would justify their extreme views.

I for one want Arsenal to win every game regardless of who is in charge.

A large majority of posters on here must be missing a nose

Anyhow I need to find my last post about Wenger Over-Achieving in most of his tenure, didn't have time to reply to a post before my holiday

I'd swap Van Gaal for your Wenger in a second.

The boo boys will be back out when Arsenal lose their next match mind you - such a bipolar fanbase these days it seems.

It's either Wenger IN or Wenger OUT - you can't have both.

Be careful what you wish for.

That result last night could be seen a mile off and if we had to win our last 4 league games in order to bag the much coveted VT then I have absolutely no doubt we'd produce the same level of performance.

However if we had to win just one of our last 4 games to win the league, that's where you run into trouble with this team and manager.

They can pull results out of the fire when the spot light is off them, just look at how many calendar year trophies we have, but when the pressure is applied, more often than not, we crack.

No-one has changed their mind, 95 percent of this forum want him gone. Whereas you lot were blowing LVGS trumpet earlier in the season, now you want him gone huh?

Aye that's true Rodders. I'm with the 'Wenger Out' brigade too - he's had enough time now and even I'm fed up with his failures and I don't even support Arsenal!

Like I have said a few times on here before though - he's bigger than the club it seems these days. He can do as he pleases. As long as the owners see the £££ rolling in, they couldn't give two sh*ts about you fans.

You'll actually find that a lot of United fans never wanted Van Gaal in the first place. We were convinced we'd get Ancellotti, Guardiola or Maureen.

And I didn't mean the posters on here - I meant the matchgoing fans. The Emirates is "One Arsene Wenger" one weekend and then "Booooooooo!" the next. The fans need to get together and sing from the same hymn sheet. It's not achieving anything supporting him one week and then turning on him the next. Rinse, repeat.

Not that you people need telling this, just venting my thoughts here :)
