Perry was very entertaining and lucky no kids there as he doesn't hold back when referencing about the spuds, chavs and bendtner

All the others there seemed to be pro Wenger and when Perry said we were in a great position to win the league I said we wouldn't unless we buy a couple of quality additions which he did agree with but on the whole he very much was pro wenger.

Who knows if there were a few more people there that weren't referring to Wenger as the professor every few minutes then he might have been less pro wenger, I couldn't say tbh.

Good day though and he was funny, I would post a photo of him but I can't remember how to lol.

I'd love to know if any ex-Arsenal (aside from Stewart Robson :D ) tell it like it is about TOF. It seems almost all of them protect him and only talk about the glory days, 'Be careful what you wish for' and all that shite.

Frank McLintock doesn't hold back when asked about what the current Arsenal set up lacks....sadly he doesn't get asked very often.

I find Martin Keown and Henry are the worse for defending Wenger. Henry in particular is ridiculous, the amount of times he criticises the team but does it in a generalised way as to not mention Wenger.

Henry is without doubt the biggest Wenger cultist, with Walcott only just behind him, some of the things the pair of them say about Wenger makes me cringe,

The club have been exceptionally crafty with ex players, a lot of them do these tours, they get lorded at The Grove. Theres Ambassadors, the 100 club, See Gilbertos just come in now http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archiv ... o-100-club
Its great that the club do support its former stars of course, but the agenda is clearly that without Wenger all this would go.....

What made me realise that its a concerted effort was hearing Wrighty the other day on 5live. He Said he has been recently having converstaions with Gazidis  . His tone has dropped from a non AW believer to being at best neutral. Job done Ivan, well done

Why else would dear Ivan creep up to Wrighty, other than to attempt to convert him to the dark side :banghead:

It's good they are involved in the tour, but their lack of independence on anything Wenger related is pathetic. The funny thing is that on the rare occasions that Wenger is criticised, he comes out with the never having managed line, which proves he is incapable of defending himself.

All but confirmed that Guardiola will be off after this season. The tragic thing is he will probably end up at one of the Manc clubs. If there were any doubts of the ambition of this club they will allow him to go there and not sack Wenger. The man is a perfect fit for Arsenal.

It's fucking sad because if the Arsenal job were open I have a feeling Pep would come here, but he's going to fuck off to Man City because apparently Wenger will be in this job until he croaks over.

Hardly surprising as they are at the club doing their coaching badges, with Wenger as a mentor. Hardly going to bite the hand that feeds them. Keown done that once before to Graham. He came back and has towed the club line since. Even Guardiola spent time with Wenger doing his badges, so he's hardly gonna say anything bad about Wenger or the club. I do believe that if Guardiola is available and is interested in coming to the club, Wenger will step aside with one year remaining on his contract. Wengers domestic turmoil will catch up on him , as it did for Rodgers at Liverpool.

I was very disappointed to hear Wrighty on a recent 606 show being neutral about TOF, after being 'all but anti' beforehand. Who could forget him being denied a chance to say goodbye in the 98 FA Cup final? (You bastard, Wenger! :censored: ) Wrighty is the type of player we've been missing at the Arsenal since he left; sheer enthusiasm and passion for the shirt. A fucking legend!

I love Keown - an absolute warrior of Arsenal FC, but hate how he consistency defends TOF. I hate how TOF had frozen him out of the club despite his mass of knowledge about the art of defence; 2006 CL run and all that.

I'd be happy to have Pep at the Arsenal. Despite the tippy tappy shite, Pep KNOWS that tippy tappy is for a purpose - trying to score goals. Whereas TOF is all about endless passing and frustration. Pep would short us out very quickly. Alas, we are stuck with TOF for the foreseeable.

532 days to go :suicide:
